Nature or Nurture?

Actually, this is a very toned-down, heavily truncated summary of the John/Joan case. I read about this before, years ago and the story was much more in depth with interviews with Bruce/Brenda/David. He hated being a girl. He would mutilate himself and force himself to urinate standing up. He hated wearing girls' clothes. He knew something was wrong all his life, but never knew what. When his parents revealed his true sex to him, I remember him saying it was like the whole world suddenly made sense. Everything fell into place.

This is a famous case.

"nature versus nurture" does not work when you're trying to force one biological sex to mimic the opposite. That some of us are born with a gender dysphoria-- that's a different thing entirely.

Wasn't it the case of medical malpractice covering up for itself after burning the kids dick off?

Testosterone is evil stuff. The FDA should ban it and jail those who test positive for it.

Interesting but, I don't know what to think of it?

Hopefully, "Dr. Money" is no longer a doctor, having been barred from practice, and either is still in prison for the terrible thing he did to a little boy or is dead.

ETA: Okay, I looked into it further, and the quack died a couple of years ago. He was a psychologist, not an MD, so I wonder how he got away with circumsizing the little boy. That was known all along, even though the failure of his Nazi-like experiment was not.
