‘Who’s going to pay the bills and be our boss?’: Russian spox translates NATO chief’s call on Trump
https://www.rt.com/news/366800-nato-trump-stoltenberg-moscow/

"Stoltenberg, NATO chief’s, wrote in the British newspaper.“We face the greatest challenges to our security in a generation. This is no time to question the value of the partnership between Europe and the United States,” … ..

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova took to Facebook to explain to her readers what Stoltenberg truly meant to say in his article.
According to Zakharova, the NATO chief was really wondering: “Who’s going to pay the bills and boss us around?

“We went to great lengths to please the American establishment, including deploying troops and weaponry on our sovereign territories in the time of peace [… .] … Sanction wars, which undermined entire branches of our economy.
We remain silent about the fact that thousands of soldiers from NATO countries were hurt in America’s escapade in Iraq.
“We turned a blind eye to what the US did in Afghanistan. That the production of drugs ... has grown many times. And these drugs are, in the first place, sent to us, to Europe.

“Please understand, we don’t want to take our eye bandage off because then we’ll have to acknowledge not only that we have lost touch with reality, but also that we are naked. Forever yours, hopefully, NATO General-Secretary,”

Funny how the Russians sound like our CTRL-L Liberals.

Trump has everyone deranged..., okay maybe just out of the closet, you know, the loony bin...

I don't understand or know much about politics other than what I learned here from you guys (you, Ishmail, LadyF , nezhul, underguy and a few others sharpened my crirical skills despite your diverging opinions).

But russians are like a breath of fresh air and often funny with their "no beating around the bush just for the sake of hearing ourselves talk" nonPC style.
I'm not necessarily a fan of russian politics, but RT and the political talk shows that it sponsors managed to employ some really witty and vibrant journalists.

Some girls want your money,
Some girls want your cars,
Some girls listen to RT
I just don't have that much time!

Give me all you money
Give me all your gold
I'll buy you a house back in Zuma beach
And give you half of what I own

I need to find some good smileys or chuckle emojis online (I stil can't use that forum function yet)
because that made me chuckle

But russians are like a breath of fresh air..."
Oh yes, and much appreciated in the Caucasus, the Baltic, eastern Europe, etc.

Of course they're vibrant. All the negative journos end up murdered.

1.I agree with you, that Russia clearly had and still has imperialistic tendencies.

But right at the moment, Russia isn't the most powerful and influential superpower who's interfering and doing unspeakable damage to Europe and the Middle East, and will do so to others too via the TPP.
US are.

So it's nice to see someone give the finger to and expose the globalists who have hijacked American politics . Because almost the entire western media is just bullshit propaganda for corporate interests and globalists.

2.By both

And Putin's oligarchs are all nice populists and his media aren't state-run. Right.

USA journos aren't regularly murdered by state forces. They are attacked by crowds at Tromp rallies, however.

Oh please do tell, in your own words, how is the US doing unspeakable damage to Europe?

Also, there is no TPP. Pay attention.

Currently, driving them bonkers with the impending Tromp presidency, and encouraging fascist separatists intent on fracturing Europe so the continent can return to endless nationalist and religious wars, just like the good old days. It's all our fault, hey?

Countries that are or will be bankrupted, security concerns over ISIS that are growing exponentially.
Which are partly a byproduct of the international (US& their allies') corporate elite's external politics.

In saying these, I'm starting to feel a bit vulnerable and ridiculous- silly carrying these discussions my own, because my skills and knowledge in the area of politics aren't great or near yours or those of your GB opposition.

I was hoping for other -more informed- posters to bring up counterarguments and to engage in the debate with you two guys, and hopefully I might be able to chip in too around your and their ideas.

If you're talking about the aftermath of the -08 meltdown, you have a bit of a point. But it wasn't the US alone that did that.

There are no serious exponential security threats over ISIS. In fact, they seem to have peaked (but might be emboldened, or not, depending on what Drumpf does). There has always been this or that terrorism threat, and one will replace the other. Cest la vie (however that's spelled).

Huh? How come?

Two candidadtes for President who ran on scapping it in it's current form, and the one most against it won. Obama and Congress dropped the idea of Lame Ducking it through.

Interesting graph. I wonder why so many blue ones between the 70's and 90's and how come thy decreased exponentially after that.

Complex stuff. Becuase of increased prosperity, less facist tendencied from the mid 80's and onward and (indirectly) the fall of the Warsaw pact, the expansion of the EU into the east, but mostly making nice with the main violent separatist movements such as the IRA, ETA et al.

IRA, ETA (Basque separatists), PLO, German Red Army...

I expect that you believe some fairy tale narrative of how the US didn't overthrow the elected president of Ukraine, install a puppet government of fascists and self described nazis who then initiated a civil war against the Russian speaking population.

You also probably believe that the Cold War was initiated and sustained by the USA to maintain the rich motherfuckers who own the armaments industry.

Operation Gladio i.e. NATO false flags/strategy of tension.
