Heroes, myths, legends. These are the glues that bind. People dismiss Charles Martel, The Hammer, yet without his ethos we have no Carolingian Dynasty, no Charlemagne and possibly no Western culture capable of a Renaissance. Similarly, with no Mohammed, nothing to replace Cyrus, Xerxes, Darius and Persian culture which bound a region/culture over many generations.

But now the West is of a mind and in the mode to ruthlessly destroy and replace all of it Pantheon of Leaders and to radically discard and redefine its traditions.

How can such a culture survive? What would a new hero look like? How strong will be the emergent culture from emerging shocks both internal and external? Would would we believe in? What would hold us in unity? Hedonism and anarchy?

I see that.

The emphasis on the Founding Fathers has become not what they did in the positive,
but what were their negative attributes irregardless of the norms of their day.

Woke culture sits in judgement based on their value set.
History is being rewritten (snowflaked).
