The National School Boards Association apologized Friday for a letter it previously sent to the Biden administration in which it likened the actions of parents at school board meetings to acts of "domestic terrorism."

in a memo to its members, the NSBA addressed the recent media attention it has received, as well as the distancing of over 20 state school boards associations.

"On behalf of NSBA, we regret and apologize for the letter," the association wrote in the memo. "There was no justification for some of the language included in the letter. We should have had a better process in place to allow for consultation on a communication of this significance. We apologize also for the strain and stress this situation has caused you and your organizations.

"As we've reiterated since the letter was sent, we deeply value not only the work of local school boards that make important contributions within our communities, but also the voices of parents, who should and must continue to be heard when it comes to decisions about their children's education, health, and safety."

The group's apology comes after the Washington Free Beacon reported that the NSBA consulted White House officials in advance to discuss the specific language the group should use when penning the letter.

You're wrong. Nothing to do with the Federal government. The NSBA are admitting they were full of shit when they wrote the letter. There was no acts of domestic terrorism. Merrick Garland couldn't come up with a single example of domestic terrorism at any school board meeting either. It was all a bullshit attempt to change the definition of terrorism to include angry words by pussy teachers unwilling to face criticism.:rolleyes:

On November 23, 2016, Trump's transition team announced DeVos as the nominee to be the next secretary of education. Upon her nomination, DeVos said "I am honored to work with the President-elect on his vision to make American education great again. The status quo in ed is not acceptable."[16] DeVos's nomination was generally criticized by teachers unions and praised by supporters of school choice.[57]

Detroit Free Press editor Stephen Henderson expressed concerns over DeVos's nomination, writing that "DeVos isn't an educator, or an education leader".[58][59] Rebecca Mead of The New Yorker questioned the efficacy of Michigan's charter school system, which DeVos has supported.[26] Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, called DeVos "the most ideological, anti-public education nominee" since the position became a cabinet position.[60] The Michigan chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and the Michigan Democratic Party opposed DeVos's nomination.[57]

Former presidential candidates Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney respectively called DeVos an "outstanding pick" and a "smart choice".[60][61] Republican senator Ben Sasse said DeVos "has made a career out of standing up to powerful and connected special interests on behalf of poor kids who are too often forgotten by Washington". In an opinion editorial, the Chicago Tribune wrote that "DeVos has helped lead the national battle to expand education opportunities for children".[62]

There have been many reported death threats made against board members. And I never mentioned the federal government

The AG of the United States couldn't come up with any while under oath. Besides, death threats in school board meetings are state police matters, there is no legal nexus between death threats in city and state public meetings and the FBI.

That's all there are, dick smoke.

Don't ever wonder why you're not taken seriously and that we all know you're a joke. And quit using me for your homoerotic fantasies. You have used me as masturbation material for almost 2 decades now.

I know. Alleged threatening pf parents at school boards is not a federal matter nor is it domestic terrorism, was my point.

Yes, I get that you don't believe death threats as terrorism.

Guess it's good that you don't receive them.

Yep, a lot of mistakes are being made.

1st big mistake..... parent's opposing wearing masks, threatening teachers and school boards across the country with violence and intimidation tactics. Protests are fine if civil and the courts are an option for all. Settle differences in a productive way...and try not to look like the assholes that some folks are.

2nd....school boards responding to the whackadoodles. They are a very vocal, miniscule minority of folks. Just move on with the business of education and set equal rules. Folks that don't like it can write a letter(to the Board, Councilperson, Mayor, Governor,etc...or go to court).

Time to move on from stupid.

Time to leave the mask fantasy behind, expose phony Covid numbers, Try Anthony Fauci for perjury, and fill the unemployment lines with Democrat Domestic enemies who insist on violating the limits of the Constitution, including Joe Biden.

And here we are again.....grievance porn.. never takes longer than the first page before it's just railing against Democrats.

I'm surprised that you've managed to pull your nose out of RoryN's ass long enough to post. Should you be posting on your own without your girlfriend?

You are correct my friend...at least the school board folks had the character to apologize for their mistake. Whackadoodles don't ever make mistakes so no need to be sorry or to accept reality.

Far too late. The horse is out of the barn.

What that letter did was to put them under a magnifying glass. Parents that weren't involved before began to wonder exactly what all the fuss was about and started focusing their attention on what was going on. And the more they found out what was going on the unhappier and more engaged they became.

Locally three of the most 'wokest' school board members have decided not to stand for re-election (elections next month).

Lol...parents are way to busy raising their kids, working and trying to live decent lives to be dealing with this none issue.
