I got a pm a short while ago from someone calling themselves franancepraivil and under the heading “Do you meet?”

The message was “ I’m Alex. Girl, bisexual, love sex. I’m heavily tattooed. If you want to know me better, please add me here. p.s. my nickname - prettyalex92❤️“.

I automatically deleted it but then wondered whether there was any other action I should have taken? I assume these pop up regularly and probably others have received this message. What some men will do for attention. 🙄

Yep. I got that one too and deleted it.

Interesting - I opened this thread, closed it, and the message showed up. Say good-bye.

If you forward the PM to Laurel she can ban the spam account.

I got one too. I had fun w/it and recommended a poster I suspected behind it.

I open them check them out. You need to know what your reporting or if it's an iqnore. A check of the nick will often show if this person is a hacker. Why if no nick is found send information to site Admin.

If your not sure iqnore as that is best for you.

What Lindsay O said above.

Forward it as a PM to Laurel. It has probably been sent to dozens of people.

You don't send crap on unless you have too. The op has enough to do with out crap added.

If any of you have checked theses people are hackers. Not registered but they need to be tracked. Often the same address with a different nick. The IP is what is needed but it too late as they are check off about 30 seconds after they spam.

which I ususally do, and then I put them on the ignore list.
What so far all of those spam/phishing accounts have in common is the 'birth date' (November 30) and no other information on the profile.

If you want to forward spams to Laurel, simply click the "Forward" instead of the "Reply" button in that PM, then type Laurel's name in the recipient's box. I always add a brief note to inform her it's a spam.
