I have lost over 30 pounds in the last year and a ton of inches from all over my body...Ive been exercising so I look toned. The only problem? My thighs now look like orange peel. I dont really think those creams work (but I havent tried them so maybe they do)...is there anything you can do about this? Spot exercises...I hear those wraps you get in spas are good but pricey...

i read that jogging and jumping rope help break down those fatty pockets somewhere... i dont remember where i read it though.

i'll try and find the link for ya

well...see I lost all the weight in the first place by running...lol. Maybe jumping rope I should try...

I wish I could help you but I feel your pain..I have them but I think that I am genetically built with cellulite..My mom and my two aunts all have cellulite, so honey if there is something you find out about getting rid of the nasty cottage cheese PLEAZZZE let me know:kiss:

I hate to bring this up, but if you literally lost inches what your seeing may be extra skin and not fat. This happened to one of my female friends that lost a lot of weight. Sadly I don't think there is much of anything you can do abbout it.

Over time, years of it, your body should ajust to your new weight, or you could get a little nip and tuck.

Lets hope the jump rope works.

hmmm...well I never thought of that larger. I wasnt obese to begin with or anything..I went from a size 14 to an 8. You could be right though...

i remember a long time ago hearing somethign liek if you can get the water out of the fat cells you can smooth your skin out...like you can use a rolling pin or something to roll over your skin and it gets the h20 out of the fat...anyone ever heard of this?

My coworkers wife lost a bunch of weight after having her stomach stapled. Over 200 pounds, and she recently had surgery to have the excess skin taken off, then donated it to a burn unit. It seems extreme to me, but the skin will be used, and she is much happier with the way she looks without the flab. You might look into it?

Ummm...Chrome I lost 25...30 pounds max..I was no where NEAR 200 to begin with...I dont think skin removal is going to help...lol. But thanks for the idea....

Love,
You could try a cosmetic called "Dermablend" It is a cover creme marketed originally for burn victims, and to cover scars. I have had great results with it covering cellulite, stretch marks (Makes them GONE) and tattoos. Lasts about 16 hours and is waterproof. Great for a temporary fix. Sold at stores like Dillards, Foley's, etc. Costs about $35 for the whole system and it is well worth the investment.:)

I myself have lost a fair ammount of weight, but like you, was not really over weight in the first place. I have found that it is just a little bit of 'extra skin' that is no longer used, so to say. I have not found a way to totally get rid of it, but swimmming helps a lot. I weighed about 159 give or take... not bad but I was not happy (I am 5'6"). I went to a lifeguard class and all the swimming helped to tone my body and the constant movement of the swimming is something that, I think, helped with the extra skin problem. You don't have to do anything special... there are some water workouts that you can do, but really, just swim easy laps, and stay moving for around 30 minutes... then you can relax for a few and go again. I usually try to swim (total) for about an hour at least.

This might be something you might want to try out. The greatest thing about swimming for health is that it is relaxing, and fun. If you know how to swim that is. ;) But swimming works a lot of things, abs, legs, back, arms, and your heart. Try it out, and have fun!

Now I am standing better (prouder) at about 140, and I am just happier about myself.

do a google on "body brushing". You use a dry brush made specifically for this purpose and brush your body before showering/bathing, starting at the toes and brushing towards the heart. It stimulates lymphatic drainage, aiding the body's natural detoxification process and supposedly will help "declump" cellulite over time.
