If all adults took midday naps, followed by a snack of graham crackers and little pints of milk, the world would be a happier place.

Let's be fair, if any of the lessons learned in Kindergarted were remembered the world would be a much better place.

I still do this.. only I have a peanut butter cookie instead of a graham cracker.

Whenever I take a nap in the middle of the day I wake up tired and grumpy.

I'm so jealous! (I could really use a nap.)

My job four jobs ago encouraged all employees to take 30-minute naps. They even provided pillows and blankets.

I miss that place.

They do that in Spain, but it's usually followed by coffee because they have to go back to work. :)

Laurel, you're right on. ;)

I've seen at least two credible studies that have shown that people who take short naps (10-30 minutes or so) in the early afternoon are far more productive at work than those who don't.

Yes! Soon, the Spanish will take over the world! Bwahahaha!

when i was young i used to think naps were a complete waste of time and only old people needed them. one of the benefits of being self-employed now is being able to schedule my day so that i can get in a 30 min. nap most days and it does extend the productive hours of my day.

as a matter of fact........i'll see you guys in a little while.:D

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

(sorry, I couldn't seem to stop myself!)

I'm a champion napper. Hubby drives me to work and home, so I nap in the car on the way to and from work. Then I have a tendency to pass out on the sofa after work for a couple of hours at least once or twice a week. I think I need to encorporate graham crackers and juice into the mix, though.

Oh my gawd I was just thinking the exact same thing...then we can play games after we are rested??

naps are the opium of the working class

I take a nap through my one hour lunch break every day, lying in the safety netting under the bridge where I work. The netting sways in the traffic, which also provides soothing white noise. Cooling breezes dry the sweat on my back as sailboats and overloaded oil barges glide by far below, headed against the tide for points unknown. It is more comfortable than any hammock. Then it's time to go back to work and I am useless the rest of the day with grogginess. Ah, union construction. Your tax dollar$ at work.

Sounds good to me Laurel. Can you let my boss know that this is the new office policy, and that I'll be unavailable from 12:00 to 12:30? I somehow think you'll be more convincing than I will. ;)

Daggummit. Why did I get logged out in the middle of a post AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
