If I jumped up and down and clapped my hands like a schoolgirl, would that scare you away? :D

how is you?

Can't argue that. Though, if you ever want to do it for me sometime, I'd be good with it. Sounds freaking adorable. hehe

lol, I charge $100 an hour for adorable and double that for freaking adorable, but I'm worth every penny :D

I came in here to say this, but he beat me to it. It is so good to see you here! Annie is very much missed, and it's so sweet to see you join us in her honor.

LOL thanks for the ecstatic greeting! I can’t believe I’m here either.

Can’t complain - much like the rest of you, I imagine - tired of this f’ing pandemic and Zoomed out, though fully vaccinated and happy about the change of prez in the US.

How about you?

Hiya, Calli! Thank you. I wasn’t intending to actually do more than look about furtively, and then... heck, it’s about time to practice some pomes again. I’ve been writing prose almost exclusively for a few years.

And how are you?

Welcome mer, good to know you're back to the other 'p' to show off your versatility. Practice make perfect or something like that.

:rose: Nope, but seriously, I haven't written much poetry over the last year. That clap may turn awkward at my attempts

He’d probably be more concerned if I did that :D
It would be you wearing the schoolgirl uniform that would get me: :D

@ legerdemer - Felt that, found out the same way about Annie.

Wow! First day jitters made butterflies where insect wings don't belong. But I looked at legerdemer's poem and I gave over to missing our lovely Annie. She truly does live on here. I miss that dear cackle and sexy enticement.

But how good it is to be writing with you all again. I've missed you, too.

Hi Neo, Calli, Tods, Legs, 29... I hope there'll be more join us soon. It will be a rolicking month of torment. The masochist in me can't wait for more, please, Sir. lol

eta: Hello to the Canadian fisherman, Piscator and also hi Moochie (who I've read lots of here and hope to get to know). There, I think I've got you all so far. I'll catch up on the rest later.

Doing well, thank you. I hadn't been writing much at all of anything for a while, though I'd wander back in here from time to time to be social. Then, I started writing a bit here and there, and figured this was as good a way as any to get me writing more regularly. :)

Nah... I'm just happy you're here. I'm not a prolific writer, I've taken long breaks myself. The only time I've ever written in any regular, disciplined way has been doing threads like this. I've posted more than one poem holding my nose because I needed to get it in by the deadline. No unrealistic expectations here. :)

Your poem was so lovely. Had me tearing up, and that last line squeezed my heart so hard.

29! Moochienanu! Remec! Lev! OMG!

I've never been so damn happy that I started a forum thread in my life. So happy that you're all joining in on this! You've made my dat.

glad you came to join Champ, been too long since I've seen fresh writing from you, and your opening was a fine start to honour Annie

seeing as we live on an island it was easier for us to cut off our border and control access in and out of the country, we have been especially where i live largely unaffected, so probably no vaccination for me since I'm not in a dangerous health bracket I'd rather some others go first as guinea pigs and we'll find out in longitudinal studies which was worse....

I got pulled in by all of the positive inertia. This is a good thing you've started here Calli, and it's nice to be a part of it. Though I will say that typing 1/30 felt very much like an act of unrealistic optimism - that last week (if I get that far) might get pretty ugly. I'm apologizing in advance, should I resort to limericks and shitty haiku. I'm honored to be part of this cast of characters and I wish everyone the best of luck.

Pretty sure you won't be the only one feeling that way. I tend to feel that most of the stuff I post in a 30/30 type challenge should probably come with apologies. :D

By the way, have you been introduced to the American Sentence? ;)

Woot! A grand total of 11 poemies so far! It's very exciting. Hi Tzed, Remec and LevBed. What a wonderful passel (passle?) of poets. Fresh stuff, fresh men and fresher women! Happy reading and writing!

Truly a great a bonne melangé. Welcome to the other 10 other poets, bards & bardesses, rhymers, free formers, lyricists, versifiers, metrists, versifiers, poetasters, and sonnetists. As a dilettante, I'll hang in as long as I can.

I wonder if this is at all related to the new covid lockdowns?

I was reading through the parent thread, HERE and think it would be helpful to be congratulatory on this thread if we could get you all to check in! I am grateful for all our sakes that so many poets are running the gauntlet with me.

I'll start champagne1982, 2 poems as of 2 April. (lol... it's early yet)
3 poems in total, it's still early ... 3 Apr
5 poems done (admittedly one American sentence ... we're still writing? Whew! 5 Apr

I'll update as we go
