NaNoEdMo

The mad month of March is almost upon us, and that means NaNoEdMo is, too.

I've signed up, are any other NaNoWriMo participants joining in?

I need a kick start with getting my teeth into editing my novel. I have made a start on it, but just as NaNoWriMo motivated me to write it, I'm sure NaNoEdMo will help in the editing process. Not only that, I enjoyed everything that went with being part of NaNoWriMo so much, that I want to captivate some of that again.

Here's a link to the site: www.nanoedmo.org

There looks to be a lot of info there, and hints and tips, and the forums look good, too - if a little quiet at the moment.

Let me know if any of you guys sign up. :)

I'm not sure my NaNoFinMo will be over by 1/3. So I just might cheat and use that month to write the last chapters instead. :)

I didn't sign up, but mostly because I've actually been doing most of the editing it needs since I finished it in December..

I *could* sign up and go over it looking for typos and such, I suppose.. But I already have someone doing that for me, so I probably won't do it myself.

Maybe you should sign up, since she seems to be a MAJOR slacker at the moment.....*tries to look innocent*

Whisp :rose:

Love this Av Lou

I'm still a little confused about all of this Nano stuff. Is there a thread were this was all explained?

Also, I remember you used to have a link in your sig line to the main site, but it's not there anymore :(

Thanks Lou.

Hi Sweet,

First of all, thank you.

You probably remember the long NaNoWriMo thread, from last November, and the introductory one before that. Here's links to them both:

NaNoWriMo 2003
LitWridoNaNoWriMo - The Support Thread

And the link to the actual NaNoWriMo site is: NaNoWriMo.org

About 24 of us from the AH took up the challenge to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November, and at least half completed it. It was an epiphany for me, and my wiriting, and I've got a very good novel out of it - well, I'm extremely happy with the result.

Even those that didn't complete the 50,000 words got an awful lot out of the experience. And I believe a few have gone on to complete. A lot of us that reached 50,000 carried on writing our novels after November. I did, and I completed it in January, reaching a decent sized novel at 80,000 words.

Now onto the edit...

Lou

P.S. If anyone fancies joining me for NaNoWriMo 2004, keep it in mind. I'll post a reminder nearer the time. ;)

I'm hoping to edit my NaNo work in March.

I posted all of it as I went but all 12 chapters could do with a proper edit and resubmission.

Thank you, Tatelou, for the reminder.

That's cool, Og. It will be great to join up with you again.

Oh, by the way, to accompany the re-launch of my site, I've now got a new Guestbook on my site. Thought this was as good a thread as any to mention it. ;)

Lou

Hmmm

Doubt I'll make it, too much on the mind at the moment, and too busy elsewhere this time round, but I'll cheer you all on in spirit if I'm not there in person.
