What female name makes you smile? Why?

What male name makes you smile? Why?

What male & female names makes you cringe? Why?

Bronwyn makes me smile. My first love. What can I say *shrug*.

Aleisha makes me smile. My daughter. Again . . .

No male names effect me the same, Matthew (my step son) to a degree.

I can't think of any 'cringers'. But I'll be sure to let you know ;)

Whenever I hear the name Emily it makes me think of a little girl I met several years ago. She always reminded me of a little doll and her voice was one of the sweetest I've ever heard.

I'm very partial to the name Michael. I love it so much I named my son that very name. I love hearing it, saying it, and I just love when others say it too.

There aren't too many names that make me cringe. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings by saying a particular name because maybe a name that I don't like belongs to someone here. :(

Female name : Nicci because she's my RL bestfriend
Male Name: Art because

Not many female names make me cringe

but the names Eric and David make me cringe....and well...that's kind of personal why

*edited

I like the name Aeneas cause, I had a crush on one.

I like the name Hatshepsut cause she rocked!

I don't like....Norman,or Shaleigh, just bad memories.

I've always liked Sarah or Sabrina. I don't know why, they sound attractive, pretty. Maybe becuase I've always seen a pretty Sarah or Sabrina...?

My son's name is Cory, no 'e'. It always rings a chord with me.

As I am sitting here thinking about names I have come to the conclusion that I like too many...

Female - Emily ... That name alone...

Male - Clint or Will .. William is actually my middle name, and a really good friend and his wife (who I helped introduce to each other) named their first born Rob William with my middle name in mind.

One name that I cringed when I heard it .. a friend was going to call her daughter Racqel .. That is a sweet sounding name and all, but I've heard it on wayyy to many porn movies .. not to mention the teasing the poor girl would get in school with a nickname of "rac"

They changed it to Rachael ... much better :)

CreamyLady makes me smile every day! Not that I use that name, but her real life name makes me grin, too.

Hmmmm.....could Laurel be pregnant?

:)

Wasn't me.

I've always had a thing for Kelly (Keli, Kelli) as a girl's name. As a man's name (I know two) it's just downright un-American.

Girls' names ending in 'a' or 'ia'

Angela, Vanessa, Nadia, Natasha

MMmmm, feeling better already

Watching the local news here one night, and there's this young woman being interviewed--I forget the story, spring-break on the Redneck Riviera or something--and her name was Kelly Kelly.

Kelly Kelly? I'm not really sure how I feel about that exponential thing.

Kelly Kelly: it was weird; but to answer the question:

Good Girl: Donna, my first pre-adolescent love.

Good Boy: James--plain and simple, and was my grand-father's, and he was great.

Bad Girl: LaDonna, MaDonna, &c., 'cause they mess with Donna.

Bad Boy: Jason, 'cause very few Jasons I've ever met looked like they could skipper the Argos.

Girls:

  • Katusha: it is a pet name for a girl name Ekaterina. Any variant of this name makes me smile.
    Zlata: just sounds cool
    Luda: short for Ludmila
    Russian girl names rock
    Tatiana, Nina, Yulia, Alena, Marena

Boys:

  • David: my brother!
Billy: it's such a silly name
Bennett: Another cool name. This one guy, he says: "My name's Bennett, and I ain't in it." Bennett? Hell, he broke it.
Ezekiel or Zeke: Anyone with a name like Zeke has got to be cool, especially if they "saw the wheel, way up in the middle of the air!"

The name of any friend is sweet, even they are on another person.

Have you ever found yourself dating people in strings according to name? It's happened to me. (these names too make me smile)

Charisse
Cheri (pronounced Sha-ree)
Sheri (pronounced Sherry)

God knows how many Angelas I have dated!
Missy- been a few of those too.
Karen- Most of the Karens I have know are great women. Totally human, totally female. Maybe all women should be named Karen. hehehehe

riff knows his stuff...Russian girls names rock.

As far as my personal experience goes... Sarah's are always really nice...i think i have about 4 Sarah's in my little black book.... Nicola, Tara... names like that ...awww mammories...errr i mean memories ;)

Ebineezer and Archibald are baddies and goodies.

Tracy and Sharon, of course, belong on lorries.
