Aside from a couple flings who are curious, I've only had one loyal sub and that was my ex.But I'm 22 and have a lot to experience. I normally just say "slave" or insult them. Should I be saying something else? I came here to learn about BDSM but it doesn't seem to be that kinda place...

You still sure about that, honeybee?![]()
99.99% of the time he calls me by my name or by one of my myriad nicknames. Thank you parents for giving me a long ass name that people like to twist into all sorts of things. When he's joking around he calls me honey.
There's one particular humiliating sexy-funtimes word that he uses that gets me going, but I don't know how to even begin to translate it. It's not used often though, so that's why it still holds the power, I guess. In general attempts at humiliation by calling me silly things that I'm not (such as slut or whore) just bore me, but this one word works.
ETA, a little cultural fact:
We don't really use names here all that much, so we don't usually address the person we talk to by their name unless there's a chance of a mix up.
I've never encountered a submissive partner who hadn't already been given a name by her parents. Those seem to work well as they're particularly well ingrained.
Would you mind sharing the names?
Why would he tell other peoples real names on a message board?
I have a preference for my name as how it sounds in someone's mouth says so much about who I am to them. I like the honesty I find there.
That said, I also have a growing affection for given nicknames that feel like reading a preface to something coming or are loaded up with meaning like a poem. I have been suprised by how much I have liked or struggled with names depending on who is saying it and how it is said. I also like the secrets that can be safely tucked into them. I really don't like choosing them though.
I read an exploration of nick names for a submissive once that has stayed with me. While tripping through names about belonging that were sublte enough for public casual use and yet clearly privately explicit they landed on Mina. It's a pretty sounding name that I think suited them both. I liked it.
