Name the Beast!

Hello,

I'm an anthology editor, but I'm also working on a novel. One IMPORTANT piece of my novel I need help on - naming the beast.

My beasts have some vampire characteristics, but they are not vampires. My beasts have some ghoul characteristics, but they are not ghouls. I'd like to come up with a name for my beasts. Therefore, I need someone to invent a name. (One of the things I love about fiction - you can invent a name.)

If I choose your name, you will be given credit in the novel, and I will also include a link to your website and your bio information.

I respect vampire aficionados and ghoul aficionados and do not wish to disturb traditions. Thus, one of the main reasons for this request.

Hmmm... any particular place of origin for these beasts? A lot of the names that we have for other beasts are related to the language of their original locations.

So they don't subsist on blood or corpses...then are humans their primary food source or something else? Possibly delving into North African/ Arabian mythology would yield some ideas. Just a thought.
