Have someone ever teased you by your name ?

Well, my name is Maj.

As a child, everybody, including the adults would tease me.

Hey, there is Maj, even here in October, and a lot of other silly commends.

And they still do.

It dosen't bother me anymore, I just smile along whith them, while I'm thinking :

IDIOTS.

Mostly over my surname, but it never bothered me.

I hope you haven't minded my teasing you over your name, my sweet SweetMaj or SweetMaj, my sweet?

You can imagine what my old friend Linda Lays gets teased about. :D

Not at all, Tio. !!!

As a matter of fact, I'm flattered by you teasing me.

After all, SweetMaj is my username.

Dear Maj,

Children and small minded adults tease people mercilessly about their names. Thankfully, most children grow out of it. The adults who fail to grow out of it have my pity.

Sincerely,

Ben Wah Balls

Thank you Ben. :D

Todd the Clod.
Odd Todd.

My last name has "weather" in it, so I got a lot of jokes about that. Everyone also seemed to assume that it is native american, even though it would have had to be translated first... It's german, by the way.

That's just awful! Thank goodness thing you picked a user name here that is impervious to name ridicule attack.

My surname was the name of a popular TV character. Adults take note; the experience of being asked by nearly every adult that meets a kid: Hey, is X your uncle? Did you X today?

Is not going to instill much general respect for adults in the kid. :D

You've got a point there, Stella. ;)

You must have been quite the tease in Algebra class, Stella. ;)

My last name is very close to Krueger as in freddy. Heard that one a lot when those movies first came out when I was a kid it was "crewcut".

My real name is the same as the name of a notorious serial killer. Nobody makes fun of me. Not twice, anyway.

In high school all my buds and I had nicknames like 'Peanuts', 'Stretch', 'Baldy', 'Green Teeth', 'Beef', 'Motor Mouth' and 'Grease'. Mine was 'Wisenheimer', I don't know why, but I liked it. :D

Come to think about it, it was my teachers who called me 'Wisenheimer' first, and the guys picked it up from them.

It's amazing, so quickly children learn from adults, Tom.

I love Wisenheimer. :D

Most of the kids in school couldn't pronounce my last name so many never even tried.

My first name was so common that every joke had been done a million times and were so old that nobody knew them anymore.

Try having a surname that sounds like a particular vegetable. That really got on my boredom threshold by the time I was ten.

Maj, I take it that the j is pronounced as a Y ?
It's a nice name; I like it.
