Story I'm writing has a Burlesque Night Club in...

I need a name for it that is suitably tongue-in-cheek or kitsch..

There's a real life club called 'The Candy Box'... which is a fairly good indicator of the kind of thing I'm after.

If, together, we can;t think of anything better, then the club will be named Club Cha Cha by default... but that's terrible, so please help!

The first thing I thought of was "Kit Kat Bar". http://www.teehanlax.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/kitkat_small.jpg
A  from the good little witch.

Blisters - was a common burlesque club name (it referred to the strippers breasts)
Minsky's - was a famed club in 1930's New York
Cotton Tail Club
Squeeze Club

V's
Velvet Vulva.

not subtle...

I'd better search LIt, though..I made this for someone/something else..might have been just a thread though.

YEP...thread by Shereads... from 2003.

fair game I'd say.

KitKat club is from Guys and Dolls isn;t it...? That or Cabaret

Hrmmm... some kind of chocolate might be good though...
<ponders>

Or a shade of red...

Club Crimson?

Or because it attracts flies ;)

The Honey Pot?

The Kit Kat Club was the one in Cabaret.

The Pink Pussycat (is/was a club in Kings Cross - the Sydney redlight zone, not the UK station)
or try the French touch - everything sounds good in French (I mean Moulin Rouge, sounds so much better than Red Mill)

Club Chic
Club Arabesque
...
I'll shut up now.

Le Boudoir?
Scarlet something or other?
The Pink Box?
Hot Chocolate?

  :D

How about, The Cherry Pit. Or, The Cherri Pitt.

Red Rose
Blue Rose
Sweetheart Club
Sissy's Bar n' Grill
Sugar's place
Kandy's Place
Gett-itt-onn
The Pick Up Joint
Racie's

Ooh, this is fun! :D

The Bang Box!

God. That one welled up inside me and I needed to shout it.

I must stipulate that this is an English Burlesque club, so Bar N Grill type stuff is not appropriate... french is good though, the English have always used the French to express our latent sexuality... lemme think...

Voulez Vous

Cabaret Couchez

La Femme Jolie ---- ooooh! I like that one!

or pluralised? Les Femmes Jolie? (is that right?)

Or Les Femmes Ravissante (French-speakers please check my pluralisation)

Wouldn't "jolie" be pluralized as well, since it takes the feminine form already?

I'm forgetting all my french. *grumbles*

I'm thinking you need to say "ravissantes" and "jolies", but I may be wrong.

Hrm.... These are probably my preferences...

I need to insert them into my text and see which fits best...

it'll only get mentioned once, AFAIK, but when it does there'll be no qualifier - it has to be immediately obvious that that is the name of the establishment... Which is why I need a 'Club' or 'Cabaret' in there somewhere perhaps...

The Voulez Vous Club?

Cabaret Voulez Vous?

Cabaret aux Femmes Jolies? (please excuse my abominable knowlegde of French grammar)

The first two are may faves...

I've always thought that "The Velvet Box" would be a good name for an adult-oriented club. Although, in your case, V, maybe "Vermilion Box" might work better. ;)

A strip bar I used to frequent is called the "24k Gold Club." It used to be a pretty high-class place until they went to all-nude. Others I have seen include:

Ziegfeld's
Sugar's Cabaret
Le Mellon Rouge
The Cherry Picker
Top Hat
Sunova Beach

Some establishments from nearby:

Thee Doll House
The Paper Doll
Leather and Lace
