I will put this information in the How To thread… but just the instructional part.
But first, while browsing through the Amateur Pic Thread a couple of days back I came across the worst case of mob bullying mentality that I have ever witnessed here at Literotica.
Someone dared to suggest that the photos being used in a thread had been lifted from another forum and that these pictures actually dated back a number of years. He had remembered them and stated the forum where he saw them. Immediately this poster was slammed from all directions with a lot of childish and pathetic name calling. The poster kept his cool and decided to back up his claims with some very reasoned and obvious arguments. He commented on the file names looking more as if they had come from a database of a professional rather than an amateur (remember this is supposed to be for amateur posting). How dare he attack their precious OP… and the insults and name calling continued. No matter what reasoned and obvious argument he presented the faithful were not going to be swayed from delivering their barrage of abuse.
In steps the OP with a photo of a hand held and hand written message attacking the poster… along with her/his written opinion of what a low life this poster was to suggest that the thread was a fake.
Oh the applause… conclusive proof that the OP was a golden girl dropped from the heavens for their right hand pleasures.
The poster said that the abusive verification sign would have been easy to fake… “Oh No” they howled… and much pontificating on evidence and good old back slapping while they continued to roast this poster. Photoshop experts and graphic designers stepped in to defend the honour of this sign… Complete and indisputable evidence that the OP was indeed REAL.
Now I come in… I thought to myself why is this person bothering to, time and time again, stand up to this mob, presenting more reasoned arguments to back up his claim. I set out to prove the sign could easily be faked… one A4 sheet… black marker pen… a snap with my webcam and overlaid a new message within minutes. Now I was not really trying to prove it a fake… just that it could be done… but on looking closer (zoomed in) I could see a very amateurish job had been done by the OP. So I presented my evidence with close-ups and arrows… while most had stepped back just to watch this unfold… a couple of brave souls stood up to have a go at me.
Now the tutorial on how to find if the photos have been lifted from somewhere else.

“TinEye is a reverse image search engine. It finds out where an image came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or if there is a higher resolution version. “
There are plugins for most popular browsers or just use it from the website. As most images in Literotica are database driven, the normal right click feature of the plugins will not work. In this case, download the image then use the upload feature on their website.
With this simple online tool I found a forum that had been posting images of this person (the one in the photos) between 2005 – 2009. I found discussion on their online history and I also saw mention of a domain name. It was no longer active as that person’s original site, however, I was able to use the Wayback Machine
to view this website as it looked in the past. It was a pay-per-view website dating back to 2007, and in the promo pages were some of the very pictures used in this thread.
The thread is now shut down due to breaking the terms and conditions as laid out in the Forum Rules.
Why such a lengthy post here?
Mob mentality is ugly… for those involved take a good look in the mirror and see what is smeared there. How much of this unquestioning blind faith do you carry in your normal day to day life? Do you always immediately resort to abusive comments the moment someone presents a differing opinion? Do you bother to listen? To discuss?
Congratulations to minago who had the courage to stick to his grounds, despite the onslaught toward him.
When an individual has the courage and conviction to keep standing up to a mob… maybe it is time to pay attention… minago always knew his was correct in his claims. None of the abusive mob had that conviction… they were merely acting out on blind faith.
If you highly disagree with someone have the courage to discuss first. Through reasoned discussion you may educate someone or in turn learn something new yourself.
