I've been very busy up until yesterday with professional duties (i.e., trying to find a job), and I tend to procrastinate - so today I went out and did my XMas shopping. Four hours later I was finished - I got everything I was looking for. So what's the big deal?

Ok.. so you did well on the Xmas shopping. But did you remember batteries for the items that need them? How about wrapping paper, bows and tape?

No batteries needed.

Yes I did get wrapping paper - I usually wait until I get to my kids place and steal their paper, or give them the gifts unwrapped - hey, I'm a guy after all! :D.

Oh and before I forget, starting tomorrow I will be away from Lit. for about a week, so you all have a very merry XMas.

I am starting now; I am making brownies. Yumm! :p

I'm starting to hate you :D ;)

I haven't done any baking this year. I haven't been in the mood.

Well, I wouldn't call what I do "baking"; I mix the brownie mix with 2 eggs, water and oil, and throw it into the oven. If there was a brownie mix I could put in the microwave I would use that instead. :D

Hey now, that how I do all of my brownie baking. ;)

They used to have them.. I can't remember the name of the company though.

Dammit!

And if it requires using the oven.. it's considered baking to me ;)

Well I did use the microwave; my oven timer is broken, but my microwave has a separate timer on it so I used that - otherwise I would get engrossed in something else and the results aren't pretty (charred food - or even flames) !

I just finished today! I am so very happy with that.

To make those boxed brownies really special, I pour a bag of chocolate chips on them right after I take them out of the oven. When they melt, I spread them around. Instant frosting! (Hints from ksmybuttons...doesn't have the ring of Heloise or Martha, does it?)

I finished my baking this morning but still need to frost. I made 5 different types of cookies which are going out as gifts starting tonight!

We decorated the gingerbread house this morning while I was baking. It is a hit and a nice centerpiece for the dining room table.

The Lionel Train went around the Christmas tree.

The packages under the tree. I wrap each person's in a different wrapping paper and they don't find out which is theirs until Christmas Morning.

Happy Holiday to you Herie. Have a joyous one.

I was done in October.

I work retail.

I don't go shopping between Thanksgiving and New Years day. Period.

But, how many presents did you have to buy?

See me when you're in triple digits, then you'll know it takes about 3 times longer than 4 hours just to do the wrapping, much less the shopping! :D
