Don't laugh.

We do not need a one party system again, not ever.

I made the horrible mistake of praying for Bush to win in 2000 and bring an end to 8 years of the Democrats holding what I feared would be an elusive Presidency, and forgot that the Republicans firmly held Congress.

I and the rest of the country proceeded to pay for that for 6 long years.

No more one party dominating everything.

A veto proof Democratic Congress can override a Republican President's veto if the citizens support the new law and the Democrats are totally unified, and a Republican President can veto the more God awful crap that the Democrats are capable of and which the public might oppose.

It's not the best system in the world, granted, but this leaves the Democrats as the road to progress and the Republicans as stoplights where needed.

Yoy think pork barrel spending is going to vanish just because of a little gridlock? That is the only crap will manage to get done. If there is one thing that Bush and the Democrats can aggree on it's how money should be spent....as insanely fast as possible.

Do you deny that the debt went down and jobs went up, under Clinton?
