War is inevitable, but contrary to what some believe, war can be a good thing. It brings about new inventions, more jobs, and helps reduce the population in some places. It is human nature to want to fight. It is also human nature to want to survive, thats why battles have always been so bloody. This war will be no exception. Bush is making up for the mistake his father made in the early 90s. Saddam should have been taken care of then with or without the concent of the UN. But Saddam knew this war would have been coming, so he most likely has mass armaments under his control. I also feel Bush is doing this to gain oil supplies to help reduce the cost of it for the americans. In this regard, Saddam has the upper hand because we can't bomb the shit out of him because if we do, we will end up destroying the majority of the oil we hope to take as our spoils. This in turn means sending in ground troops, which in a war of this nature, may end up being a second Vietnam, a bad move. The people there want to keep Saddam so that means they'll have their full strength and willingly die for him. And our poor ally Saudi Arabia will be caught in the middle and probably be worse off then it was before. Then after that, we still would have to deal with the Bin Ladden group. They're still out there if not already here in the states. And with the country being divided, we will not have a good chance of winning. If we are to do this, we must stand fully united. Like after 9-11, its been too long and the people have forgotten what it was like to be so united, one common cause, one mind, one body. Destroy those held responsible. No matter what we say or do, this war will occur, we may as well back it. What we will start, we should win. We can't afford to lose this one, if we do, it will all end. As soon as it ends, the UN may be next then world war 3 will officially begin.
Oh side note: Democracy and Republics are good when there is peace, but when there is war, we need one person to make the decisions. Because with to many people casting their votes, it takes too much time and too many people can have their votes influenced, making it an incorrect system.
