I guess this'll be the thread that I spew out the thoughts that pop in to the ol' coconut tonight. No replies are expected(but are welcome) and I'll just talk about whatever is on my mind :)

Has anyone seen the Car commercial where its 5 idiots my age trying to sing along with "bohemian like you" by the Dandy Warhols? The one where they can't get the words right? C'mon!!!! Its a pretty easy song to pick up. They even mess up Bohemian which isn't an uncommon word and is the easiest to hear in the whole song!!!!! I hate advertising.

And why are all my fgavourite bands selling their songs for commercials? Blur, Iggy Pop, Dandy Warhols is there no end??? I really hate advertising.

It is a great track, isn't it. Hey, now to think of it they were in a Gap commercial too. So was Badly Drawn Boy!

Not just music...fashion, too!

What's most annoying about the Dandy Warhols selling their song is that I saw an interview with them where they were spouting all this anti-corporate, anti-mainstream rhetoric. I guess Cindy Lauper's right - Money Changes Everything...

I was never a big fan of Depeche(Although I love Everything Counts) I love New Order.

It's the funniest thing in the world. The big Goth club in T.O., the one that I was assured was the coolest place in the world, The Sanctuary(Although with my rapier High School wit I always referred to it as the Skanktuary) has been turned into a Starbucks. It isn't even a spooky Starbucks either.

I often wonder about things like that but Damon Albarn once made a lot of sense when talking about selling Song 2. He essentially said that by selling out a little with Song 2 he'd have the freedom to do whatever he wanted without worrying about how his albums sold. I don't know if I would but his post-Song 2 output has been fantastic. I just got Gorillaz and It is outstanding.

I like that one Gorillaz song - the one they play on MTV. Is Damon Albarn in that? I'm so clueless...I loved the Blur album with "She's So High" on it - used to play it constantly. Have you heard the Stereophonics record? I like the "Mr. Writer" song - the video's awesome - but I haven't heard the rest of the record.

I don't get ol' MTV but I assume they show "Clint Eastwood", the one with the rhymes by Del tha Funkee Homosapien. Yes, ol' Dan Abnormal is the man behind Gorillaz and is doing all the singing on that album

I'm happy I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, In a bag.

The album you be talking about is Leisure and it is really good. The Stereophonics are pretty good but they've never really grabbed my imagination. They are huge fans of the Tragically Hip so they can't be all bad.

Did you know they are going to stop making Chuck Taylor high tops???? How can this be? They are the greatest shoes ever. Life sucks! Oh sure we can buy 9 different patent leather Air Jordans but the only classy, stylish, made for people with big feet, affordable shoes are going down. I better go out and buy a dozen pairs!!

AIGHHHH! How am I going to live? They go with everything. I wear them to the office, to school, I even planned on wearing a black pair to my wedding. I wanted to be buried in them. :(

I have pretty big feet and for whatever reason Chuck Taylors just fit better. And since they are the only ones I like to wear I have to have a good selection of colours so I can Co-ordinate, Girlfriend *Snaps fingers* :D

How many licks does it get to the Center of a Tootsie Pop? I don't know, Who eats a lollipop just by licking it and not sucking it? And how do you count sucks? And why in the world did the TrailBlazers blame their failure on Dunleavy? Why not Whitsitt?

That's true and false. They do have Ego problems but personnel decisions hurt the team brutally. They had a team with too many egos last year and who did they bring in? Shawn Kemp. There is a great team on the Blazers with Mighty Mouse, Steve Smith, Pippen, Wallace and Sabonis making up a great 5 but the team was poorly assembled and poorly conceived and they respond to these problems by firing one of the best coaches in Basketball. If anyone shouldn't have taken the heat it was Mike.

From Tejas, are we? I've loved watching Vince decimate the Knicks and the Sixers. How do youn like that T-Mac? Bet you wish you were a Raptor now don't you, you lying Bitch.

I do have some interest in the Mavs because of my man Stevie Nash. He's a great pass first point guard, Can shoot when he needs to and can play D. He's the new John Stockton. And he's oh so dreamy!

Wait.

I'm not gay. I meant to say he's Canadian :)
