My story feedback is making me sad

My most recent story has received some positive email feedback (although not accompanied by votes!?), but I'm finding that it's making me sad.

A number of readers have remarked how lucky my husband/boyfriend is to have me in his life, especially if I write stories like that for him. I appreciate the sentiment nd the kind words...but...right now...

Since you've all had to deal with my recent break-up whining ad nauseum, you might understand how that kind of comment can sting, especially since I did write for the boyfriend and it appears he didn't appreciate it, or me, not so much.

Not a rant; just sadness on my part.

Anyway, I have to go see the lady working on my taxes. Maybe that'll get my mind off this.

Fully understand how you feel. Felt the same way about my first two submissions, "Dreams of Meeting" and "Lovely Day for a Ride", since they were both written about and for "Michael". He's gone and there isn't a damned thing I can do about it.
