My story Brigit - I can't reply to anonymous!

I have just received feedback about my story 'Brigit'.

Anonymous, who signed a name at the end of the text but didn't give an email or a Lit name, asked whether there was a sequel.

There are two.

BUT I CAN'T TELL HER!

I don't mind not being able to tell anonymous what I think of them when I get insulting, inane and inappropriate feedback, but when anonymous likes a story and wants more and I can't respond...

I'm now a frustrated author.

What would you like to say to anonymous when they are complimentary?

I'd like to say thank you. I'm pleased you liked the first story of a trilogy. There is more if you click on my name at the end of the first story.

But I can't.

I know what yo mean. Yesterday I got feedback from someone who referenced some very yummy details- that aren't actually in my story at all. But they could be in a story as far as I'm concerned. And I can't ask her where she got them or if I'd have permission to use them if they're hers!

I received a complimentary email a while back, and it inspired me to write something new. The semi-anonymous emailer asked that I put a particular name into the next story. I did, but the story hasn't been approved yet.

I know that I've submitted public feedback for some stories and somehow my login name didn't appear ... perhaps it timed out if I didn't hit submit immediately (distracted by the dog or the doorbell) or I may have gone back to edit my comments and didn't re-login on the comments page.

BTW ... if someone who leaves anonymous comments with maliciously negative content is a troll, is someone who leaves anonymous comments with positive compliments and constructive criticism a fairy?
