My spouse is an eldritch being

The phrase “and this is why we can’t take you anywhere” popped into my head and I thought “what if it was becuase the MC’s spouse was an eldritch being?

For example: escort has a regular who is a married woman. She really likes her as a client as she’s always respectful, communicates what she wants well, and always gives her a nice tip on top of the agreed upon price. Escort doesn’t pry but it seems husband isn’t interested in sex, or at least traditional sex.

Regular asks if escort could come to her home for their next sessions and if husband could watch. Escort agrees: it’s a pretty typical request. The home is immaculate but the bedroom is the entire basement of the house and it’s empty save for a king size bed. Escort doesn’t see spouse or any cameras but regular asks her to go ahead and start and tell her if she feels any odd touches: husband agreed just to watch, not to touch. Escort agrees and they have a great session. Only odd thing is that escort swears she heard something breathing in a very low tone.

Next time regular sits down with her and says husband would like to join in. Escort says she can’t see husband and regular says “it’s best that way.” And promises double the normal rate.

Escort agrees and starts feel arms and fingers travelling over her body as she makes love to her regular…but it’s too many and the paths they take are impossible for normal joints…then then tongues start licking her. Does she turn back and finally see husband’s true form, or is he still invisible? Does she continue or does she try and flee?

2. MC normally doesn’t come to company functions as most of his coworkers are married or are in committed relationships and they like poking fun at him for not moving up and being alone.

This year he comes and is wearing a ring. People ask and he says he recently got married to a wonderful woman and she would be arriving soon. Coworkers start laughing but sure enough a tall woman comes and takes his arm…only no one can really describe her. When they look at her they want to shift their gaze away.

And then she starts talking. Except it’s not in words but concepts. Soon the coworkers are envisionsing themselves naked and full of desires or feeling sensations that don’t make sense. One woman feels lace running all over her body while one guy feels like lips are sucking on every square inch of his flesh. However, the feelings suddenly stop and everyone is left collapsed on the floor.

MC apologizes: his wife has a very active imagination and he hopes they won’t hold it against her.

Thought of one which is pretty ambitious but I think could be fun even outside of an erotic context:

Four women, a married couple and their two friends go scuba diving but the company that was doing the tour abandons them when a storm hits.

A rescue team eventually finds three of them: one of the wives and the two friends. They say the other wife got injured During the storm and was lost. Lots of news coverage, memorials, wasted searches, etc etc.

What really happened: the group had found a small cave with an air bubble and took shelter there from the storm and predators they left the next day (as the oxygen was running out) but the wife had been injured during the storm and didn’t seem to have the strength to make it to the surface unassisted. One or all of the remaining women stabbed her and let her body drift away, hopefully attracting the predators.

Where’s the sex? So the wife who went missing was a millionaire who was originally married to a guy but got seduced and fell hard for her personal trainer. Trainer thought it was exciting to seduce someone who was so rich and have her under thumb…but grew bored. Her new wife wanted to just have a happily married monogamous life and grow old together. She however wanted to keep up her thrill seeking life and dragged her wife out on a trip with her (the former trainer’s)friends and “suggested” (pretty much pushed her wife into it) that they swap partners. Wife is is reluctant but agrees and has sex with the other women wanting to keep the woman she loves happy even as it becomes obvious her wife doesn’t love her the same way.

Where’s the horror?

The three women who do feel varying degrees of guilt start moving on, the surviving wife collects the money with the others possibly demanding some hush money or even keeping up a relationship…and then months after the incident. They start seeing the wife. Her body is completely unmarred and she seems to have no hostility over the murder attempt. In fact, she wants to invite them to her wedding to her new bride.

Of course the women panic and they each try and deal with the wife in their own way but nothing works, and each one is pulled into the water and is never seen again.

The wife eventually explains: she didn’t die right away. She managed to make it to the cave but there was almost no oxygen left. As she bled out she ran her fingers over a strange carving in the wall and awoke her new bride: a being that is not made of water but exists in all water. From the moment it was released there was no escape as it now existed in the water inside the women’s bodies. As the wife basks in her new bride’s embrace and feels the other women try and trash away at a new life they’ll never escape she muses that they’re just the first: her new bride has a big heart and wants to share its love with all of humanity
