"The Heir Presumptive"
- Written with WatchingCloud.
- My primary character: Princess Ranna, Heir Presumptive to the throne of the Kingdom of Varn.
- 20 years old.
- 1st of 3 daughters to King Yorn of Varn.
- Her father, King Yorn, wants her to marry Borin, the son of the King of Ulnar, which borders Varn to the north. She has no interest in marrying a boy 8 years her junior and then -- as will be expected -- submitting to him once he is old enough assume the crown.
- King Yorn is contemplating having Tyler, his bastard son, declared legitimate. Tyler could then marry the Ulnar King's eldest daughter and bring the two kingdoms together with a child now, rather than in a few years when Borin was legally old enough to father a child.
