I have my financial aid appointment tomorrow. The school thinks I should be eligible for full grants. It is only a two year technical school but has a job placement rating of 96% so i should be pretty good. Oh and Cheyenne, I will be recieveing an Associate in Specialized Business Degree (A.S.B) in Business Management: Accounting.

Will that work for you dear?

Next thing ya know im getting a cat!

Hey NH, You know tomorrow is new years day....No one is open around here.................Will they be there?

They had so many people registering that they decided to see if they could make some appts for tomorrow

Well good for you.....go get smart now and take a sharp #2 pencil.....and an apple...

That's great! I wish you the best of luck, NH. Good job!

I took you too literally.

One night in Tallahassee me and some friends went to happy hour at Fred's. a liquor store bare that served really stong-assed drinks. We all wound up ant my apartment playing a strip game.

Pretty soon everyone was naked- we didn't give a shit. Naked guys and girls running all around the apartment complex; in the pool, in the parking lot, in the apartment.

I couldn't find my smokes. Grabbed some cash and the car keys and went to the nearest Majic Market. All the dude said was, " Well, I don;t guess I gotta card you."

Went back home and told everyone I had just bought cigarettes naked. Skipper and Suzie decided they wanted to do it too, so back in the car to the MM. I walked in, Skip walked in, and then Suzie walked in- "Well," said the fat clerk, "tha's a littl better." We bought candy and shit.

Soon it became a tradition. At a party me n skip would brag about going to the store naked. Then everyone would say, "No! You LIE!" I dare you to do it again!" And off we would go... This is what college is all about...

I told my dad about the whole thing one weekend at home, thinking he would be impressed. He looked at me and I heard the ice cubes rattling in his glass.....

I expect an invitation to your graduation, Young Lady.

Getting in is all well and good, but hang in there to the end. That what's going to be the really good news.

you go girl!

Hunny, I just went back to school in August....best decision I've made in years. Good for you!

CongraTulations! Demand is very high right now for the two year accounting degrees, also. A friend of mine teaches at our local tech school and she said they can't turn out the graduates fast enough.

If you get a cat, be sure to get two right away. They keep each other company when you're not around. ;)

Knew Cheyenne would agree with my decision!
Not only that, but I'll help you. If you have questions on anything you're working on in your accounting classes, just email me. :)

Cheyenne, you're a saint. In your own way, you're one of the most supportive members of the board... Even if you are a tad picky about spelling.

NH, you go girl.

Like WH said, stick to it, I know you can do it. I'm very proud of you.

Never I agree with what you said about Cheyenne, she is wonderful.

Hey Psst, Naked Hunny ... Snickerdoodle will be proud of her Mommy too :)

Plan for winning.

Hi Naked Hunny,

To echo Weird Harold, I would mention an old saying.
"The World is full of 90 yard people." My father, a football player, said it a thousand times to point out that
what counts is getting the job done.

Here are two suggestions. First, find out about the schools
"Tutor Program." Then, as soon as you identify a course that you are having a problem understanding, get help quickly before you fall behind.

Taking exams. Underline important sections and formulas with yellow marker in your books. Take good notes in class.
Arrive for an exam an hour and twenty minutes early. Sit in your car, or study area, and review it all.

When taking the exam, you will find that you will average five to eight points higher then you might have gotten, because answers that you have just reviewed will appear in the exam, word for word.

If, as is the case often, in your field of study, the "Next"
three or four questions are based on the answer, just given, then your time spent just before the exam will mean the difference between pass or fail.

An aside, keep carefull notes, in code, about the guys that you "Meet." They will be interesting to you, even years later.

Good for you darling!!!! A big and important step on the road to your own life. Not one run by others.
How is the snickerdoodle by the way?

Thank you, Never. What a great way to start out my New Year's Day! But I'm actually less picky about spelling than I am about balancing your checkbook and living within a budget! No unpaid credit card debt! (Thought I'd sneak that in there once more while I had your attention. ;) )

Nicole: thank you, too.

You can DOOO IT!

I took time off to live a little, well, actually a lot, Marines, hitch-hiking around the country, etc., before I returned to school. Started out in a tech-type program but found it unfulfilling so I changed over to a regular four-year school and earned my degree. I worked in the field, made a killing, decided I did not like working with bankers and lawyers (nothing personal, I just don't golf and dress right and I love my old truck 213,000 original miles and counting), and retired to pursue a hobby. And they were all the best decisions I ever made, each and every one.

So good luck, stick it out, and know that knowlege is power.

School Daze ... School Daze ...

... wonderful, wonderful school daze ...

Way to go Hunny!

What a way to start 2001!

Now you hang in there girl and take it all the way .... :)

Hugs and Happy New Year!

With all sincerity Cheyenne, I don't think you realize how highly you are thought of around here.

I'm a little sappy on this first day of the New Year so...well, thanks for being well...you. :)

Hmmmm... I actually think of myself as just part of the wallpaper here. But thank you, too, SimplySouthern. It's nice to know people must actually be reading what I post. At least some of them.

I may be stupid, but who the hell works on january the first??? Something doesn't sound right

You were obviously too stupid to read the rest of the thread were I explained about the situation the school presented itself with by having too many people needing to apply for financial aid!! Next time dickhead read the whole thread before posting so you dont make yourself look so stupid!

This is exactly the type of thing that WILL get you into trouble if there is any truth to your predicament at all.

When there is a hearing for the wellfare of a child, it is always up in the air what a judge will admit. You have posts on this site that talk about sending naked pics of yourself to strangers. You have posts where you call people dickheads. Do you honestly think there is ANYTHING you are going to say that is going to counteract the damage when a lawyer asks you "Now, when you sent naked pictures of yourself to dickheads on a porn website, was this in your daughter's interest?" How about "And the day after you were accused of this crime, you spent most of your time posting on a porn website. Is that correct?"

This is the last thing I'm going to post on this subject. Because I think the more attention you get, the more you will continue your reckless behavior. Several well meaning people have tried to help you. No one is yelling at you, they are simply telling it like it is. If there is any truth to your stories, which I have said, I find highly questionable (no doctor tells you it is okay to take 4 valium at a time, and no one TAKES 4 valium at a time casually and CERTAINLY no one takes valium AND drinks, unless they are trying to do themselves harm).

Whatever your problems are get help. REAL help. And please, get it soon.
