We have created the world. It is a reflection of each of us. As we are petty, narrow, and bigoted, so are our institutions, religions, states, and national groups. How could it be otherwise? Our institutions are made up of individuals. The collective does not exist apart from the individual. And as the individual is, so is the collective, only magnified by the number of people that comprise it.

One of the reasons I hate capital punishment so much is the it is carried out by "We The People...."

just try talking to your average home owner's association and the true meaning of those words will become painfully clear.

My morning meditation is to watch a non-collective form herself. I am sitting for my god-daughter and she is very carefully pulling all of the rings off of the cone. Then just as carefully putting them back in a different order.
Gives me hope.

There is also goodness in the world...a little harder to see but it's there:rose: :rose:

Find it, foster it, point it out to others. Maybe "We the People" will grow....

Have some good news for me:
