Ok not really but I had a lights out experience with one in the back of a horse trailer once. It was nothing I saw coming but something I drooled about.

.45 Long Colt is a misleading term. .45 Colt was made for the 1873 Peacemaker, .45 Schofield, which is shorter was made for the Schofield pistol. Just a bit of trivia....

The designation came when the ACP round was developed. The 45 ACP round with the advent of the Browning design 1911, put people to refering to the older 45 cal round as "long colt". Now were I a cowboy today, I would be happy to have a 45 ACP under the shoulder and a long colt in the cross draw while in the saddle.

But geez, it was the hot lasy in the horse trailer that got me going here anyway. A busty woman in trot on a cuttin' horse can be mesmerizing!
