My first submission was posted yesterday - a song parody.

I posted this in the Story Feedback forum, then realized I should have posted it here -- so I'll just copy and paste, and ask for your forgiveness for not putting it in the right forum to begin with...

I had posted a few days ago about where to post a song parody I wrote. I submitted it to Humor & Satire, but it was rejected with a request to post it to the Poetry category (you were right, Jenny!) Anyway, it was posted yesterday... yay!

Here's a link; it's a silly start to my Literotica writing, but I'd still appreciate any feedback!

I reviewed your poem Tuesday in the New Poem Review thread wildo...I loved it..frank, funny and clever. Keep it coming....

I can so empathize with the poem being rejected for posting inside of the story categories. I succeeded in having a halloween contest entry posted in the non-human category only after days of debate and when the actual contest voting was nearly over.

It hasn't gleaned very many views or votes since. That's why the powers that be try to discourage the epic poems from the story boards and push them to the poetry section, the readers don't want them there mucking their smut up with a semblance of style.

Welcome to the forum.

A mere semblance, a modicum if you'd rather :p, a dollop, a smattering or a smidge. Tiny bits of rhythm to alleviate the doldrums of prose.

Thank you all! I appreciate the warm welcomes to Lit; I hope to be an active member around here, both on the forums and as an author. I'm currently working on a piece for the Toys & Masturbation category, and I'm sure I'll be writing more for the Humor category, too. Hell, if I just write my memoirs, I'll flood the Humor category!!! :p
