I just wanted to share my happiness and joy with the rest of you. My poem Schism of My Reality will be published in 2005. It is my first published and I am very excited.

Wasn't that poem online at literotica, or still is? Can you post it here so I can read it--if you don't have a link. Where is it being published? I don't blame you for being excited. :)

I can't see the tatoos. (Just as well because I'm afraid to ask what I'm doing in them.)

Exi, I can't believe I posted to Eve and didn't congratulate you! Forgive me--I just got home from work and my brain is still on autopilot. :)

I am very happy for you. You know you're good, but being published is such an affirmation that others see it, too. Now you just need to keep submitting poems to be published everywhere.

Thank you all:rose:

It will be published in the International Library of Poetry, WickedEve.

PatCarrington Thank you for the Link.

Sweet Angeline Thank you. Actually I do not know I am good (well I do taste good, hehe), I would say average. Lit is the first place I have shared my poems. Most have been of love for my soulmate Pollyjean. Then some real ugly slipped back in to my life and I was just bottling it up making matters worse. I am learning, especially with this poem, writing is a great way of healing. The night this was wrote a poetry contest popped up and I enetered it. Having little faith in myself, I was trully shocked to receive a letter annoncing I am moving directly to the International Finals and they are publishing the poem. I do not care if I win. It is enough of an honor just to have it read by others.

Once again, Thank you all:kiss:

The International Library of Poetry may not be what you think it is.

existential,

you might want to look at the link below.

I sent her that link earlier in a PM. We also have a scam link in the welcome info at the top of the board. I'm glad you posted it here also. There are still many poets who don't know about these poetry scams.
ExistentialLuv, remember that it's no reflection on your poetry. These guys scam good poets, new poets, any poets. A lot of nice people have had to learn the hard way. In the past couple of years, some have shown up on this board with really sad stories about losing money and... having their dreams crushed. :(

Thank you for the heads up. It is really sad that people do this to others. I did not send any money and was not ordering one of the books. Guess I do not win;)

I do wish I had known this before I sent it. I would not have shared such a private poem with a scam company.

 and loves to all.

Exi, you can send those stumblebums an email and say you know they're a scam and you have no intention of purchasing anything from them. I bet that'll do it. :)

And I'm sorry it turned out this way, but they don't deserve you! Check out this site:

Poetry Links

It has links to over 400 poetry journals and literary magazines that are legit, and where poets can submit writing. Each site will have its own submissions guidelines.
