I understand your feelings very well
I smiled and cherished my first intentional bruise (and the couple unintentional ones) for days; staring at it in the mirror or poking at it casually! LOL

I even got Hubby to take a picture and you can see a totally silly grin on my face

We've been talking for a few months now, both on this site and over the phone...flirting with the idea of meeting. What began as an online friendship morphed into a D/s relationship (my first). We were shocked to discover we live within easy driving distance of one another.

Today, we met. It was just a face to face meeting...in public, sorta (we had privacy but weren't exactly hidden)...trying to determine if we click in real life as easily as we do online. We do. It took a great deal of restraint to keep this meeting innocent. And, then, at the very end, we crossed a line. A baby step, if you will. It left a bruise...a small, purple bruise on my left wrist. Apparently I bruise easily, which was good for us to learn anyway.

The existence of this bruise affected me for the rest of the day. I've stared at it, gently rubbed the area, and let it distract me all day. I'm obsessed with this mark! I'll never again have the first mark...hopefully this is just one of many firsts I will experience with Him.

Oh, now I'm all jealous.

I think there's really something to be said for spending time conversing with someone and only bringing the hormones into play at a later juncture. I've never done things this way round before but it feels more natural than I thought it would.

Granted, at this stage I'm looking for a playmate rather than Master Right but I'm just as excited. I hope everything works out as you hope.

I haven't had a first "mark" yet. But I'm sore in muscles I didn't know I had and I left quite a few scratch marks on him. I swear I didn't mean to. *^.^*

There's nothing quite like that first mark, is there? When I got mine, I must have looked at it 1,000 times, and it lasted close to a week. To me, it's a mark of ownership, that I belong to Him, and I wear it with pride.
