That's better than the old style but 5 years? Suck my cock GE. I bet none of my bulbs last 5 years. And this was the bathroom light that got used the least.
I agree - I don't think they last as long as they claim. However, I do know that they use less electricity, so if you have a family who always leave the lights on, then it can save you money that way (and good for reducing energy useage)
My power bill is only 49 a month. And that's on a 12 month average that should be going down soon. I plan on insulating soon. Natural gas just kills me in the winter.
