okay, so i went on a date last night. a stereotypical dinner and a movie with someone i met through a friend last week.

he was charming. dinner was tasty. the movie showing wasn't what we'd gone to see, and we were 20 minutes late, but the theatre served beer so it wasn't an issue.

i'm terrified.

i've never actually been on a *date* before. is 25 too old to start dating? lol... i'm really in shock, here.

and, and, and... i showed him my whips, and he didn't freak out! (i'm forward.)

just roll with it.. and enjoy... hope things work out for you

If 25 is "too old" to start dating, I shudder to think about doing it myself.

... wait, I already shudder to think of doing it myself. LOL

Just enjoy things, remember to breathe, and you'll be fine. :)

I'm 45 and I'm "dating".

Two women!

Does that make it a double date?

*LOL*

Am I terrible or what?

Thank you! Thank you very much, and remember to tip your waitresses!

you dork. :p

Never too old to date be it just starting or getting back into the swing.

I'm 52 and dating. I was dating 3 men for a bit (triple pleausre Geoff) but I am now seeing one Dom for the past 7 months. We really like our vanilla dates that usually end up with opening my toybox.

Fun is had by all!!

So no Chicklet is the answer to your question. One is never too old to date.

Have fun... enjoy yourself and just let everything happen natural... don't fret... :)

But, I now need to find a movie theater that serves beer near me.. LoL.

I would say that 25 is just about the perfect age to begin dating. You're *hopefully* mature enough to know what you want in life, or at least have some direction you've chosen to move in. Dating before mid 20's can be disasterous and leave you with lots of emotional scarring.

Be proud of yourself for taking time to get to know your own mind before you've tried to get to know someone elses :rose:

I had my first date this past July when I was just shy of 26. I just wasn't ready for any type of relationship before then.

I don't feel quite so bad now. I'm 23, and I've never been on a "real" date with someone I actually liked. Yes, when I was younger, my family and/or friends would finagle a date for me with some random "nice boy" that they liked, but I'd be bored to tears and praying it'd end soon every single time.

It doesn't help that I'm really picky when it comes to men. Maybe one day before I'm dead, I'll have a real, live date with someone I really like.

Chicklet, congrats on your date. I imagine it's a weird feeling!

Hi Chicklet, at 50 years old, and dating again for the past 2 years, I have to agree ith Blushing Bottom that you're never too old to start dating.

And I think that at 25, you'll be in a much better position to judge character and to ask for what you want! Have a great time!!! :D :D :D
