my favorite thing about winter...

Job security... snow and ice mean more accidents, mean more insurance defense work. YAY!

Or is that just a little too real? I meant to say, cookies... can't bake in summer too darn hot. Cookies, is my favorite thing about winter.

I found that when my face gets all sweaty and hot during the summer red lipstick just looks redicoulous and smeary.

I like scarves (or scarfs?). Colourful and warm.
But now that it's december it's time for the winter to end again, make way for more sun and more light and some warmth. And leaves on trees, flowers, birds.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm boots...........

oh and sweaters, tight fuzzy angora sweaters that just make women so amazingly huggable, like big pet bunnies.

Ok, Angora sweater, suede skirt and boots, and a tactile person like me is over the edge.

I love red lipstick. Nothing makes me feel pretty quite like red lipstick, or red nail polish . . . . hm. Or red clothes. . . . red underwear . . . red scrunchie . . . did I mention how much I love red?

Velvet being appropriate and comfortable again for several months...

My vintage black kidskin gloves...

Him in his black turtleneck...

Sex in front of a crackling fireplace...

agreed  ;)

We've just been hit with 40cm of snow, in eight hours. Of course it started at 5:00 a.m. and tapered off at about 1ish p.m. So why do I like it. I love the weather and the air after a heavy snowstorm. Everything seems more quiet. Like the snow is absorbing the sound. Hopefully I can go for a very nice walk tomorrow morning.

I agree...it does appear so quiet and perfect...until it starts to melt big time, but heck, it is worth it. :cathappy:

Good for you. Red is my signature color followed closely by pink in summer.

Oh almost forgot the reason for the thread.

My favorite winter thing is spooning in bed to keep warm.

You can't wear red lipstick during the summer?

WHY?

WHERE IS THE WORLD COMING TO IF YOU CAN'T WEAR RED LIPSTICK DURING THE SUMMER?

Now lets not nit-pick, we're talking about boots, red lipstick and lingerie, what more do you want? :p

I like when it's cooler. Then I can wear my lingerie under my clothes without worrying about being too warm and sweaty. mmm....angora feels so nice on the skin too. Going braless under soft fuzzy winter fabrics is soooo sensual. I want to go back to where winter is cold again, all this 80 degree weather and sunshine is really killing my Christmas vibe.

I can't wear angora - it's itchy. SAme with wool and any other animal fur. Most fuzzy sweaters shed and that makes me sneeze. So I go up to other people wearing those and 'pet' them. :D Cause I love soft things.

I can't really think of anything I like about winter. Well - normally I'd say at least the sun stays behind the clouds (I have VERY light sensitive eyes - cause of meds), but recently it's been literally freezing with blue skies. grr

You could pet my sweater any time gracie ;) I like soft things too. I have a chenile throw on the end of my bed and it's just soooooooo soft. It's my nap time blanky so I don't have to unmake my bed to lay down if I need a nap (I get cold when I sleep)

I like to do that, too. Have a blanket at the end of the bed. Unfortunately D (the two year old) has stopped taking naps on a regular basis. :(
