In my favorite story, the girl is not rescued by the boy. They rescue each other: one seeing the danger surrounding the other one and pulling them out. The connection between them starts there but does not end there. They go on to talk. They learn. They live.

When you are a 51 year old woman who has been through the wars the chances of finding that connection are as rare as Unicorns.

As we age we learn more about ourselves, as it should be in a relationship. I don't think it's possible to ever really learn everything about another person or ourselves. Each day should bring new discoveries.

Marriage is as boring as you and your spouse allow it to be, people grow and change, there is always more to learn and explore, x
