Yesterday I was out at the mall with my 2 little ones. We were sitting in the mall food court right near one of those claw games. The one where you plug in $0.50 any you get to try to grab a stuffed animal with the grabber.

As we were eating, 2 guys went up to the machine and one of them plugged his money in. They were both dressed somewhere between bikers and rednecks. NASCAR hats, Harley shirty, scraggly beards, workboots etc. Pretty rough looking customers overall. The one playing the game probablly plugged in 2 or 3 dollars worth and I was wondering if maybe he was trying to win something for his girlfriend or something. I figured she was close by.

After a few minutes he pulled 2 stuffed animals out of the chute, a lion and a frog. He walked directly over to our table and said "Do you mind?" as he held the animals out to my daughters.

A little confused I said "Ah... no."

He gave the animals to the girls and said "There you go girls. Have a nice day." And after the girls thanked him he walked off.

Apparently there still are some nice people left in the world.

Hehhe, apparently he was just in it for the fun of grabbing the things.

It's a nice gesture ;)

Now there's a story waiting to be written....
:)

Now you see, even those of us who look like screaming homicidal lunatics have hearts hidden somewhere inside.

Just goes to show that what's outside isn't always what's inside. ;)

Also, verifies to me that humans are basically good.

Indeed.

And polite. Asking you first, if it was ok to give presents to your children?

Very nice.

Agreed.

But afterwards we had to have the talk (again) about not taking things from strangers unless mommy or daddy is there.

Of course.

Then these men provided another service, too!

Those are the guys I tend to trust first. It's the ones in designer Italian suits that I have a hard time relaxing around.

CD,,,

On seeing the group of bikers I hang with, most people move away or just go somewhere else.... They are a rough looking bunch to say the least... We ride out of the local VFW hall and there is a certain amount of gray in the beards and long hair but we still get stares and uncomfortable looks from most people...

This past Christmas, this rough and rowdy crew raised almost 13,000 dollars worth of toys on Santa runs. We spend one weekend a month at the childrens hospital in Houston and support the local battered womens shelter.... We clean up and fix the donated items... We also teach a selfdefense course....

Maybe we're doing our "commmunity service" or we could just like to help out in our community.... We'll never tell.... Also, I wouldn't ask about the "moist" eyes, ya might not like the answer.... :D

I do that. I like playing on the seaside games, but haven't anyone to give the toys to, so I tend to give them to a passing mum.

I get really weird looks more often than not.

This is another example of how you can't judge a book by its cover.
I do judge books by their covers, all the time. However, I look at the WHOLE cover, if you take my meaning...
