I can't overstate this! It hurts my eyes!

Ok, so I'm on this chocolate fixed skin which gives me some margines (that helps a lot) and the page layout is better, and the titles are back above the avs.

What skin have you found most tollerable?

I'm using that vbulletin 3 thingy. It's the only one I've found where I don't have to scroll sideways to read the posts, which sucks. I don't like it, but oh, well.

The 'Synapse- Fixed' one is what I've got mine set on.
Ya don't have to scroll sideways, and the info is back under the AV.
For now, I think this is the best option. Other ones made me dizzy, lol. Or just flat out confused the shit out of me.

v bulletin looks kind of sharp. at least much better than the default. the poster info goes horizontal instead of vert, but it doesn't look *too* bad.

the chocolate one gave me some really nice margines- no scrolling on that. I used chocolate fixed, adn don't yet know what liquid is.

Another thing- is it just me or does it seem like the pages load up a bit faster now? (Curses, I don't want to find advantages!)

Yeah. V Bulletin 3 seems best. The message text is big enough to seem like message text. In the new default it gets lost in all this $@%!#$ vegetation.

Pleasing skins:

Chocolate and citrus are good. If you're finding yourself irritated with the space waste, go with the liquid version, it spreads things out.

If the font is too small, try the apple skin.

Under no circumstances do I recommend the Christmas skin.

The reputation is a mode that Lit hasn't activated yet. It allows other posters to rate you. I'm pretty sure this isn't a good idea for this site. We have enough problems with malice voting on stories, I shudder to think what would happen if they could do that to posters.

I think I read in the site updates thread that Manu and Laurel are going to see if they can get a skin that looks like the old vBulletin.

Also, if you've noticed, some of us are considerably younger than others now. From what I understand this is a random error that they are trying to work out.

Switch to Foxfire, then you can adjust the size of the text under "View". I love Foxfire.

Whoever said that synapsis fixed overload should be verbally assaulted, I couldn't hardly read nothing so I clicked that. It went from midget size text to insect size, and the thingie to change it back disappeared until I kicked my computer later. My eyes are not bleeding because I can't read anything except the title of the thread. I got back to midget vbulliten 3 or whatever, I dunno why I'm writing this cause nobody will be able to read it. What is this a size 2 font made for a 36 inch wide monitor?

The v3 Bulletin has the perfect font size, but because it looks like it uses the web page font I set (Tahoma)...

But it places the damn avatar stuff on top...

I could be onto something... I'm going back in...

Even the text size set to medium is very readable...

I am using chocolate with a text size boost from Firefox.

Every mode seems to have at least one shitty quality, IMHO.

I will get carpal tunnel from scrolling though all this empty space.

Aria Citrus Liquid.

The fixed versions center everything in the middle, no matter your screen size. The liquid versions seem to stretch to fit my screen. Some others need scrolling. I'm happy here.

I think it's a defunct feature. We use the reputation thing at Justchatting and Justerotica but there is no feature here to use it.

Oh and I use the citrus one...fixed..or i end upwith a scroll bar a mile long *L*

Even though the layout is changed, I still prefer the Gray/Dark Blue skin.

I don't really care for the info about people being at the top instead of along the side, and the fact that the buddy list is no longer part of the control panel.. but over all it looks nice.

Skynet seems to keep things the most like how they were (I used Gray/Dark Blue skin before) but is missing Location from the info on people.

And as someone stated about one of the others, the font size is rather small.

The aria ones are missing info in the Control Panel. Last post information.

Overall, think I'm going to have to settle on Skynet, even though it doesn't have the Location, and isn't as purdy as some of the others.
