My Economic Stimulus Check or Days of Extravagant Spending

Well, I got my Economic Stimulus check today and threw caution to the wind. I bought a new set of Dodge Ram floormats along with a matching steering wheel cover for my '95 Dodge 2500 4X4. I also filled the beast up with gas, 27 gallons @ 4.09 per gallon...I hope the economy is stimulated with my extravagance.

Damn, the gas per gallon where I am in Massachusetts is only $3.88. I can't believe I'm writing "only" $3.88.

Obama said if elected, he'd give another and larger economic stimulus check. Somehow, I don't believe him.

Gas here is averaging $4.15 a gallon.

My Stimulus Check? Part has gone to paying for tickets for a flight up north. (Family Get Together in early August.) The little that is left is going into the emergency/fun fund.

We just got the check last week -- finally. One of the local supermarkets was offering an extra ten percent if you used it to but their "gift" cards -- so we will eat some "stimulating" groceries
