The following image illustrates my dream house that would be designed and constructed by the same engineers who built Dulce base.

A deep-subterranean bunker in Antarctica constructed inside a hollowed-out area 2.2 miles beneath the ice.

It has the following features.

*Several small submarine-sized nuclear reactors to generate electricity
*Hydroponics laboratories for food growth
*Water filtration systems
*NASA-grade oxygenators
*Co2 scrubbers
*Hidden, camouflaged, and fortified surface entrance
*High speed freight elevator that descends/ascends to/from the bunker
*Massive luxury living quarters

Says a lot about you psychologically.

You forgot the dungeon where you would keep Heathyr Hoffman, Susan Slaughter, and Mandy Moore as sex slaves.

What is the escape plan if the elevator breaks down?

Why not a tropical island?

So you'll eat tomatoes and cucumbers for the rest of your life?

You and all your friends? Protected from... Heathyr's husband?

Someone is seriously afraid.

What if the ice melts? You'd drown.

You need to compare Hitler's attitude to bombing with Churchill's.

Hitler built fortified bunkers throughout Germany, some of which he never used. He spent the last months of his life deep underground, guarded by dozens of SS.

Churchill didn't want but had a fortified bunker just in case his normal HQ, which wasn't bomb-proof, was damaged. He never used the bumker. He used to go out on a roof top to watch German bombers - much to the disgust of his small security team.

This looks like such a bad idea.

"It's hidden and fortified, I'm sure it won't...ice over...uh...hm."

I guess...yes...lots of space...

But anybody in there is going to kill all the others because someone hoarded the last of the chocolate and now we're going to find (or not find, due to iced over, hidden entrance and people nobody wanted to see) "REESE'S" written on the wall in chocolate instead of "REDRUM"

I love my house. It needs a lot of remodeling done to it but still, it is mine and the bank's. It is my sanctuary.

That's one way to stop neighbors from bitching about your shit.

I'm more of an arctic-type person.

I love snow, I love ice, I love the cold, I love sitting next to the warm fireplace while drinking coffee or hot chocolate while I'm snowed in.

I don't like tropical climates, I HATE the desert, but I'm okay with alpine/forested regions and the arctic.

How many times have you been in the Arctic or Antarctic?

I am a creature of high deserts, lands thousands of yards / meters above sea level, immaculately dry and clear, where seldom is heard a discouraging word, and natural patterns are easily discerned. Larrea tridentata (the Mohave desert's defining creosote bush) spreads out in plantation-like spacing for good reason. Gila monsters have their moods. Expanses are infinite.

I designed my dream house long ago, a desert house, buried in sand, a wagon-wheel affair minus the wheel. A circular core centered on an open fireplace, with living on one side, kitchen and dining on the other. Spokes roofed with arching formed glass radiate from that core to bedrooms, workshops, indoor pool, sauna, and such. The setting: the south edge of Twentynine Palms, just against the bounds of Joshua Tree National Park.
