Hmmm. Well, for what it is worth...My daughter ended up being about five inches taller than her mom (my wife, duh). She possibly maybe could have been perhaps in a pinch been a rockette. Except she didn't want to be a dancer. or a Rockette, or a stripper either. Whew!
being a father is a tough job sometimes.
When she was in sixth grade she told her class she wanted to be a lawyer for the IRS. I found out and then told her she may want to rethink that one. Otherwise I would be telling people that she was a dancer, in a strip club. When she asked me why I would say such a thing I responded, well thats better than being a lawyer for the IRS any day of the week.
(Men, do not try this at home with your daughter and wife. I spent a few days on the couch and with cold meals prepared by yours truly.

Trust me, she should become a rockette...They have a powerful union. I have friends who work at radio city...they say that some of those women are like 50, and they can't get rid of them b/c of the union.

I am not sure about that stripper thing, but I am wondering how a girl would become a stripper to begin with. In some cases it may be the exhibition rush they get, but there are a great many I am not sure why they do it. (Not that I am an expert or anything)
I imagine there are extinuating circumstances in most cases that cause them to do what they do, more likely food, clothing, and a roof over their heads has a lot to do with it.
I have been to a few strip clubs in my life, and most of the girls seem to enjoy stripping, while that could all be show, or drugs, or something else too. I talked to a stripper once and she seemed to be nice. She had a sinus problem though.
I am sure your daughter would make a great rockette. I am also just as sure she wouldn't become a stripper (unless she really wanted to) since I think just hearing your little story has given me the impression that there is a lot of love in your home. That will help in more than one way to keep her on the straight and narrow. Someone to lean on when the going gets tough is important in all young persons lives. It doesn't have to be relatives, but it helps more when it is.
Beside that, she is young yet and she will probably change her mind at least ten to twenty bazillion times before she really has to make a life decision. (I know my daughter did.)
