OOC: Open for a woman who's been there to play "Sandra".
Melanie: 30-something Italian-descended married bi woman who's had relationships with other bi women but never with a lesbian.
Sandra: (open) see below...
ICMy husband and I have known her for four years. She's single, my age, naturally pretty with long blonde hair; a teacher, like my husband.
You wouldn't know she was gay. In fact, I don't "know" that she is, but I think she's been trying to come out to me - to both of us. If she is, she keeps it hidden; and who can blame her.
But there have been enough subtle hints - all perfectly deniable - to put the ball in our court. It's not like she's been hitting on me. She probably just wants to be out to us because she knows that we would accept her for who she is. I think she knows that she can trust us to keep a secret.
The thing is, I don't think she knows that I'm bi. I keep it under wraps just like she does. Then again, if she is gay, she has probably noticed me noticing her. I can't quite keep my eyes off of her.
And I really like her. She's a good friend who's a bit shy and keeps much of her private life private.
So, I made an excuse to have lunch with her at the local bookstore/coffee-shop. She had recommended a couple of books by Mercedes Lackey and I suggested maybe we could go book shopping together.
Here I am a little before noon on a Saturday. I think that's her coming in the door...
