If I were one of those guys who said my marriage is terrible and we never have intimate moments I would be lying. If I said that my marriage has no spark or depth, no excitement or gratification then that is very much true. I won't bore you with the details here but there have been many extenuating circumstances that have brought me where I am now. I find myself seeking a woman who enjoys to talk about anything and everything. Someone who is open to something that develops into more than "what is your favorite color", or "what is your favorite food".
I like women who are engaging. I have little trouble carrying a conversation, but I find there are times when I feel more quite than others. So if you can stimulate the back and forth for me in those days that is a very welcomed trait. I would guess that 95% of interactions here are very short lived, so I don't live under the false pretense that whoever sends me a DM will be talking with me next year at this time, but I am open, if not hopeful things can turn into something more than a cup of coffee.
I'm forty-nine years old, I've been married for over two decades, have kids and my life is for lack of a better word stable. I don't feel the need to change my circumstance, only enhance them. I want someone who "gets" me and in return someone who I can relate to. Someone who is optimistic and not jaded or cumbered by life's challenges, disappointments, and detours. I get enough of that already. Share with me the good along with some of the bad, and I'll do the same with you. Tell me things your husband just don't understand or have time for anymore.
I read profiles here of men who are into hiking, or traveling, sailing, or have fascinating jobs. Me? I'm just a regular Joe...a homebody who has a 9-5. I come home, mow the lawn, cook sometimes, and find a nice easy chair to rest in. Give me a pontoon on the lake in the summer, a tv series to binge, or some sports on the tube and I'm set for the weekend. I have a varying pallet of interests. From the supernatural to photography, sci -fi to comics, history to religion. Physically speaking I'm not in top shape, and my give a damn went out the window a year or two ago. I'm average height, above average weight, trimmed beard (and yes hygiene is a priority). You could find me in anything from a suit and tie to a t-shirt and shorts...I wear them all in the course of a week.
A positive I think you will like to read is there's no rush with me. I proceed at your pace with preference for a slow burn. There'll be no uninvited pics on the second message and, there's no "will you do this" or "will you do that" on the first day. No false presumptions on my end...we all know sometimes even a second message is hard to come by here. In addition to being laid back, I'm respectful and mindful of your time....your real life will always take precedence.
To answer a few common questions; I live in the Eastern time zone & yes, it's ok if you don't. In addition to what I've mentioned above I like a woman who's like the mom next door...you see her bringing in the groceries and think "what if". My best qualities are; I'm authentic (at least I think so), honest, and kind. My worst; I sometimes need affirmation that things are going well (not your fault), I can respond to messages quicker than you (it's the job I have) but, don't let it deter you...respond at your pace. I was told once I type too much...so I like to talk, I hope you do as well.
So there you go, transparent, and detailed as I think I can make it. I hope this will provide the nudge you need to reach out. My DM's are always open.
