Today is my wedding day. For weeks we have been planning and preparing for the happiest day of my life, and now it is here. I was dressing inb my wedding gown and getting ready with the help of my Maid of Honor and bridesmaids and my mother, who when we were finished, made her little speech.

I wasnt surprised, because I had heard it before but never believed it. Since I got engaged, it has never been mentioned, but today mom was most definite when she reminded me of our family tradition, that tonight as the new bride, I would sleep with the Best Man while Cody would sleep with my Maid of Honior.

Lois was aghast at the thought although she was Cody's ex-girlfriend, and they had been lovers off and on for years. She looked at my mom, and at me and started to say something, but stopped and smiled and said "well, if that is your tradition, I certainly cant complain and I'll do as you direct."

As my Dad escorted me down the aisle, my knees were shaking, and then I caught sight of Leigh, and remembered the night while I was engaged, when Cody had too much to drink and Leigh took me home to my apartment and spent the night with me.

Our eyes met and I wondered if he and Cody were aware of our family tradition, and would be in agreement as Lois was.
