Visiting Santa Monica and found a nice place...SmithHouse.

120 beers on tap (no, I did not have them all)

I did have several Ales.

Smithwicks Irish Red Ale...A little bland I thought, but smooth and delicious, cause I like beer.
Flying Dog, Doggie Style Pale Ale..Wonderful flavor, but not as hoppy as I wanted.
Fullers London Pride...Also smooth, good flavor. Great after dinner drink.
Morland, Old Speckled Hen. This one I really liked! Nice hops, still smooth, not too bitter, a little fruity. Nice dessert.

Sounds fun!

I had a beer adventure, also. ^_^

Tonight I tried Ghost Face Killah, a beer with ghost pepper and several other peppers. My bar tender said it was spicy and everyone around agreed. Having never had a beer that was spicy I gave it a try. It had some spice and had a fruity after taste like a raw jalapeño. I enjoyed it.

Must have been way watered down because ghost peppers are...pungent. I made pepper jelly with them...you have to wear gloves and an eye mask is in order....strong shit.

That sounds interesting...I would have had to had a sample first. The normal Ales, I just go for, hard to go wrong. I am glad you enjoyed it.

welcome to the hizziee...

there are several odd alehouses in the general area...
for a relatively piss poor beer town,
there are such gems to be found...

enjoy the night...
suds up!

It had several other peppers in it as well. I assume anything manufactured for the general public is going to be "watered down" simply because you don't want to melt your customer's face off. It was spicier than I expected, though. When people tell me something is spicy, I tend to be skeptical. I'll admit it had a kick, but it was just very tasty.

How was your pepper jelly? Sounds interesting.

I love places like this. When I go into a bar or micro brewery and they have 50-100 beers, I feel like I am home.

Lager - you drink this in between fights.
Brown Ale - you feel no one respects you since the war.

:D

I can't wait for Autumn to come around. I miss the pumpkin ales.

I don't drink beer exclusively.

I enjoy whiskey, scotch, bourbon, rum, vodka, wine, etc.
