She's gone. Not a baby any longer, and high time she found her own wings, but she's gone... Only a few miles and we'll see each other often, maybe even more than the fleeting glimpses snatched between work, and the boyfriends place, and the play rehearsals and weekends away.

Been a long slow parting. A year working in Portugal after finishing her schooling, then three years at University, followed by back living with us - which was a shock, I can tell you. And now she's finally gone. It is going to be quieter, much quieter. And as much as I'll miss her, I'm happy she's found who she wants to be with and I can share in their excitement of starting their life together.

Hey ho...

Hey ho...

Roll on the grandkids...

Thanks to all of you. The wife and I shared a few tears. She is a great girl (naturally), has her Mothers talent and beauty, but most importantly, she knows what she wants to do with her life.

She's starting a new job in July, a job she's made for herself within the UK Health Service, and if anyone knows of the difficulties of dealing with megoliths, they will appreciate how hard it is to get one to change direction. She'll be pioneering work on changing the healing environment in Mental Health hospitals, a worthwhile job, some of these places are daunting beyond believe. Proud parents.

Aw Neo... how bittersweet...

funny how time steals things, isn't it?

whoosh, blink, and it's gone.

That's brilliant, Neo. You should both be very proud indeed!

*HUGS* to you both.

*hugs* Neon and many good vibes directed your daughters way, it sounds like she's going to be doing some really important work, that's great. :rose:
