How dare you Peter Frampton!
Proffering prodigious shit that will melt in asphalt.
It's like fucking a whore.

Don't euthanize my insects
with a meat dress.

Now, let Ozzie try Lennon,
or Maglethorpe paint Mona Lisa,
or Cirque du Soleil do Ringling’s.

That thought makes me smile, and
making me smile aint shit, and
shit aint my art.

______
A response to the movie, "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,"
and the crap currently trending.

At their essence, I think Peter (in fact, as a youth his live album was one of my favs) and Lady BlahBlah have some talent. They are interesting, but it aint my art. Everybody has their own interpretation, so you have permission to hate mine.

I'm going to practice stuff on this thread. Experiments, so to speak.

WTF are you doing here?
Did I read you right?
getting married?
Go!
time for this shit later.

Best Wishes
:rose::rose::rose:

Nope twelveone

today's for packing the old apartment and playing around. My teen daughter and I are flying to (location left blank) on the 20th. Marriage later that week (my daughter is best man, brides maid, and photographer) at the courthouse, then a couple of weeks hangin out and packin my bride's stuff, and then I'm moving the seraph in a Uhaul (sounds like a poem). Think of the joy! My daughter on my honeymoon.

Gotta remember...

Book Two rooms on OPPOSITE ends of Hotel (two star, of course cuz we be jest white trash)
Pack Viagra
Get Ravel's Bolero on MP3 player
Take my monthly bath
and wash my underwear

Yeah, I'm happy! To be turning fifty and falling in love is, well, for lack of better words, fuckin awesome. I never thought I'd find anyone who could put up with my insanity. Course, she's pretty insane too.

serpeantwrap

If I post it I might change the title. Don't know yet. I'll think on it. That was like a five minute spew.

congratulations! fuckin' awesome indeed :D ^5's

Thanks! I won the lottery. The way we met will make into a poem someday. Former High School classmates (and we didn't know each other) a thousand miles apart who reconnected by chance.

and she's a babe

Congrats I found love again at 49 and we're still together oh and my sister and my mother came on our honeymoon!! :D

UnderYourSpell,

Then we have something in common. Seems when you had it, lost it, and then have it again you cuddle it like a baby.

I'm nearer in age to his daughter than to him but it doesn't matter, my lovely man will be 74 on Sunday and I'm busy busy online finding somewhere nice to take him as a surprise

Sweet! You reach that point where companionship is what its about. You develop that trust, that bond where you know each others dirty little secrets, and wonderful goodness.

Seems like he already found what he wanted for his birthday, and he gets to celebrate that gift each day. What better gift can there be than a soul-mate?

Let's not get too saccharine here I drive him up the wall!! but I don't think he'd ever met anyone like me before!

I'm too insanely in love not to be sugary. But even wall driving has its place in making it all good fun.

Drive that sugar up this wall baby
Love just makes worlds strange
I've met a dream from a life
ago and fit it into a fresh-faced
spin and whirl through a moon
of honey sweet with family built
brand new for summer days
through spring into a happier insanity

Champagne1982,

Ah, a fizz so sweet as to
tickle the nose with
the incense of Gethsemane.
Today, my French pleaser
of divine corruption,
you've made a non-alpha redneck smile,
and we know what that aint.

So, you got my juices flowing. Gonna take a stab at that theme at some point.

And EroticO,

Most excited about the future. On the phone last night, we cruised this thread and the poetry posts. She's a little hesitant to post thus far because she has a tiny bit of difficulty typing (MS can cause some unsteadiness in the hands, misspellings that are unintended, a minor annoyance), but when she gets down here with me in about three weeks, I have a feeling we'll spend many a night enjoying this forum together. She loved the bawdy nature and attitude.

BTW, we are advocates of MS research for obvious reasons.

The sweet heady intoxication of being so in love is wonderful but when it eases off the staying loving through the good and bad times whatever is thrown at you is what matters.
My neice has MS so I know what it's like for your lady and I send her all the best and look forward to meeting her on these pages :rose:

Thanks again Annie. The woman has it pretty tough, but she's a tiger. When she gets here, we will talk about it some to build awareness, always remembering the intent on this thread isn't advocacy for MS. Having said that, being informed of the disease is good general information for everyone to know.

im playin around

anonymous

the place in which he dwells
will never understand
his need to paint meaning

they think he should sit in
a pint-sized lunch box and
comply with lunacy

giving thoughtful bullshit
as long as it fits their
constricting girdle

he longs for the day to
sit butt naked on his
back porch breathing warm air
while fucking HER and screaming
This is ME

Has your beloved turned on some of the accessibility features of windows 7? There's actually a voice recognition that she may find convenient on those days when her typing isn't working out. You can check the features on earlier OS platforms, too. I believe most are easy to set up.

And thank you for the lovely ode, btw. :)

Guess what??

I read my poetry at an open mike tonight. The first time I've ever done that.

The work was well received, but I'm not too sure if the audience was knowledgeable.

Still, it was fun.

The audience only need know what they like. MFAs are not required to enjoy poetry... Congrats for breaking in to open mic nights.

To the Poets

About to get busy, so I'll be off for perhaps three weeks to a month but intend to return. I may get to do a post here and there and comment on the poets I'm following.

I don't intend to bugger off, this has been too much fun, and I'm learning too much.

Please accept my gratitude concerning the comments many have you have provided on my poetry and the good wishes on my upcoming marriage.

I'm happy.

This is a little too repetitive for my tastes so there is some work I want to do on it, but I post anyway cuz I CAN! (It sounds like a country song). Yes, just another corny love poem.

Loving You

I remember when my father taught me to ride a bike, pushing me from behind because my legs were too weak.

I remember when my brother taught me a trick in tic-tac-toe, guaranteeing at least a tie.

I remember when my PawPaw taught me to fish, casting my line so I could catch a 'big one'.

I remember when my MewMaw washed my hands, her smile trickling through my soul.

I remember my Nana’s chocolate pies at Christmas, and my father racing me to the table for the last piece. Loving you is better than that.

I remember the day I held my daughter, her small body not much bigger than my hands. Loving you is as good as that.

I remember the first time I kissed you, feeling as if life had given me a second chance . . .

that is loving you.
