My area in NY had 21% of all the tornadoes in the US in the month of July!

How weird is that? There have only been 24 confirmed tornadoes in the US in July...we had five in my area last week on Thursday. It was rather scary. We rarely get them here...actually the first confirmed tornado in my town since I've been alive.
