Mutual Masturbation .... Justification?

Hi Gang,

I have a great idea for a series of stories about "masturbation buddies," that I think can be really hot. For some reason, the idea of a guy and a girl beating themselves off in each others' presence sounds like it could be really erotic and offer lots of dramatic opportunities.

The problem is: why wouldn't they just fuck? In real life, it seems to me that they would say, WTF, let's just do it! But for my story, I want them to stick to self-pleasuring, in each others' presence.

How would you justify this? I want it to seem believable. Religious reasons? Pregnancy worries? Social diseases? What do you think would make mutual masturbation a necessary form of sexual outlet for two healthy, horny, people of the opposite sex?

What about if the girl is lesbian. I have a story called 3 famalies where the guy has a lesbian best friend. They have sex with his girlfriend and girlfriends sister as well as each others sisters at the same time in the same room but never have sex with each other.

Or maybe the girl is a real tease and enjoys tormenting the guy.

Love the idea of this story and and have really enjoyed your other stories, so look forward to reading this series.

Two most logical reasons I come up with are that they are both in committed relationships and can rationalize mutual masturbation, but not doing more. Or they are both just really into masturbation and their conversations leading up to doing it together are completely focused on masturbating together.

I've had a story idea rattling around in my head for a while about a conversation, then mutual masturbation relationship, that develops between two people who are married, out of a comment he makes over dinner at a small party. She approaches afterward to ask what he meant about "one for the spank bank." Their conversation goes from there to e-mail, and meeting to do it together.........

The couple could be related to each other, brother sister, or one of the in laws. not wanting to go all the way. this way they can deny any questions of having sex.

It you want to be a little more forbidden it could be a student and a teacher.

Lots of great suggestions here, thanks everyone! I think I'll go with ThinkWrite's idea of them being in committed relationships already. My plan is for them to be college students, so it works out great if they both have high-school sweethearts at other colleges (or back home) that they are trying to be true to. I think we all know how well THAT works out!
