Okay same setting, as original thread but going to advance time and hope to recruit some new characters

setting Iowa State University Campus, post world world three, which has created mutants, along with governmental experiments.

I was born during the war and am a mutant, my family died in fall out of war. Age of nineteen I uncovered my full powers by seducing a young pyrotechnic. For a year he and I rebuilt the campus and healed the war torn landscape.

But when a bunch of rag tag fanatics come along, a battle ensues, and my lover, the pyrotechnic fights to save the campus but dies in attempt.

Now I've been alone for a week, my powers waning as I no longer have steady source of sexual energy.

(think that's enough for now I'll go find original thread and repost my character description)

character info

you an be mutant, goverment experiment gone wrong, someone just searching for peace, and so on.

i feel there will be plenty of conflict just getting along and rebuilding.

my character

Called: Violet
Appearance: 5'2" pale lavender skin unless 'charged' when charged her skin gets darker until it's nearly black violet, her eyes are purple, basically she takes sexual energy and converts it to heal, repair, and minor genetic manipulation.

She can exist without sexual activity but can't heal without having sex. So with her first lover gone, she is torn between finding someone new to use, as she had finally loved her last lover and making peace with herself and his death.

Character

My character if I may join:

True name: Raphael
But everybody calls him 'Angel', because of his appearance and powers.
Appearance: 6'3", big blue eyes and long blond hair. On his back are big white feathered wings.
Powers: The power of flight through his wings and the power to 'charge' other people, he can enlarge the powers of other mutants.
Raphael is a loner, flying from place to place, finding peace. he can't stand evilness and is out to find what he calls 'the good people'.

Violet

the campus has changed a lot, buildings had been restored or destroyed, the lake was finally clean. I had moved into one of the smaller buildings, a lovely red brick building. I used first floor as a hospice area. the upstairs devoted to my living area.

the community had built up around me in the city, but campus building were still vacant, as slight fear kept people away until they needed me especially after the battle.

(sound good just introduce yourself to setting or weave yourself into the past)

Character

If I may join:

True name: Unknown
Goes by the name Wolfe. Abandoned as a baby on the nearby Indian reservation, grew up as the adopted son of the tribes shamen. Was given the name Wolfe because of his mutation. With the help of the medicine man's training, he can change at will into a 180 lb. timber wolf.

Wolfe stands 5'8" tall, has long brown hair and blue eyes.

Storyline:

Having heard long about the healer on the nearby college campus, I decide it is time to go find her. There is a new type of disease that is destroying memebers of the tribe and even with all of the medicine man's training I can not find away to alleviate their suffering.

As I approach the campus, I become fearful that the healer has survived. Very little is left standing, only a few buildings remain. As I move through the grounds, I use my sense of smell, trying to find any survivors. Faintly, I can pick up the scent of a female. As I move through the rubble, the scent becomes stronger. Then, rounding the remains of the college library I see her.

If you can tolerat my spelling I would like to rejuyn as ether a now person or the same person how has servid the fite and is rather protectiv of you all thow I keep my destins becos of shynes or you can just say no.

Nightray, hope our spelling improves, but feel free to join the story as you wish.

Hopefully a few more people will end up joining. I so loved this thread, but it feel apart all too soon.

Keeping my humble home clean, the lovely brick building just across the way from the old library, a building I hadn't had time to uncover.

A portal opened and Lokken the Wanderer fell out, breaking his arm on the ground. "Son of a bitch sorcerer, if he wasn't the only one I had, his head would be a decoration", Lokken cursed. He suddenly put his head up, sensing something. A healer, not magical, in that red building. He ran towards the building and kicked down the door. He saw a girl sitting there."Are you the healer, girl?" he asked, showing her his arm.

Violet

"not the best greeting I've had." I stand slowly, "Looks like yet another door I'll have to replace, do you know how hard it was to find enough doors to refurbish this place the first time. Much less the second," My fingers run over his arm, "I can fix this fast, but it would be simpler and less painful for me to set it, clean it, and let it heal on it's own."

Celia

OOC: Is there room for one more? I would like to play a girl of about twenty-two whos mutant powers are purely psychic.

I think telekenetic abilities...can move things by focusing on them. Simple but effective. I would like for her to be new to this...just discovering her powers and to be able to develop more mental powers as the character grows.

If this is acceptable let me know and I will post.

Raphael

Slowly Raphael lands on the top of an roof near Violet's house, his wings still spread wide. He quietly observes the two men enter the building on the other side of the street. First the wounded man from the portal, followed by the man in the black trenchcoat, Raphael doesn't like black, it reminds him of the darkness. The man in black turns his head towards Raphael for a second, he must have sensed him somehow. Raphael decides to wait some more, he allready sensed the two men are quite powerful, now only hope they mean 'good'.

OOC isolde, glad to have you

IC

I had gotten used to nightray's over protectiveness. I suppose it stemmed from not being able to save his wife. He was a strange and powerful mutant and once I got him to stop tearing up the place he was downright useful. Of course I had my building and he had his haunting grounds.

I set quickly to cleaning his arm, and pondered what nightray had meant when he said someone else was behind him. He and I were the only two to survive from the fight, though I hoped Muff and tyriel were safe wherever they were.

OOC: Thanks. Description: 5" 5', blonde hair..almost white which is worn in a simple braid down her back most of the time, light blue eyes-almost clear.

IC: Celia paused on a hill above the campus. She didnt know why she was here..just that she had been 'drawn' to this spot. That was the best description she could come up with as she couldnt really put her finger on the feeling that she had to be here.

Crossing her arms, she stood there looking over the remains of the institute and getting up enough courage to go down. Somehow she knew that there were others down there...others like herself though she did not know if they were friendly or not.

She sighed and started down the hill. Well, there was only one way to find out and it wasnt standing on a hill. As she proceeded, she would move the larger rocks and boulders out of her way by concentrating and imagining them moving for her. She had been able to do this since she was a small child-moving small objects and working up to larger ones.

At the time she had no idea that she was different from other children because she, her mother and father were constantly moving through the war torn land and she did not have an opportunity to get aquainted with children her age.

Just before they died as a result of an illness that was a biproduct of this terrible war, they had told her just how 'special' she was. Celia didnt feel special at that moment though, she felt alone.

Shortly after that she had felt compelled to start a journey to an, as yet, unknown destination. The feeling was so strong that she could not ignore it so she had left. After several months of travel, the journey had ended here at this place and now it was time to see what the future held.

Raphael

The two men were inside now, no noise was heard so the girl he felt must be allright, the men did her no harm. Just when Raphael decides to fly down and enter the building he felt some extreme power near the campus. He concentrates, clears his mind and slowly flies towards the source. On a hill near the campus he notices a woman walking. she was the source of all the power. The woman was too occupied moving rocks so she hadn't noticed Raphael yet. "All the power, just like that man who destroyed my last home," he thought. Than he notices how pretty the girl is and he stares at her for a moment. Raphael decides to 'test' if the girl realises the powers of her 'gift' and if she can control them so he gives her powers a little 'charge', boosting them for a few seconds.

Celia sighed and began to move yet another rock from her path. It was easier than moving them by hand but it required a lot of concentration.

As she was lifting the rock she suddenly felt a 'charge' of power course through her body and the rock, which she was only going to lift a few feet, was flung clear across the way and smashed to the ground several yards away.

Startled and thrown off balance by the unexpected boost to her powers, Celia fell backwards and ended up sliding and rolling the rest of the way down the hill.

Stunned she lay there for a few moments looking up at the sky. As she came back to her senses she saw a peculiar sight. Flying above her was what appeared to be an angel but Celia doubted she had died and gone to any sort of heaven...she hurt too much.

Getting gingerly to her feet she kept her eyes on the being above her. "He must be someone like me," She thought to herself, the thought that he was pretty good looking also slipped in but she thrust it out quickly. Now was not the time for those kind of thoughts. She did not know if this person ment her harm or not and she might have to prepare to defend herself.

She was definitely not aware of her powers! The little charge just should have made the lifting somewhat easier, not hurling it away.

Quickly he flies towards the spot where she had fallen and hovered slowly above her, he couldn't help but gaze at her beautifeul body for a moment after which the worries sprang into his head, "You almost killed her! You incompetent fool!" he said to himself. Than she opened her eyes and stood up. He landed in front of her, and gently touched her face, feeling the soft skin. "Did I.....Did I hurt you?" he asked quite worried, "I'm so sorry, I just wanted to test......are you okay? Can I......", he suddenly stops and looks at his feet, mumbling words like 'sorry', 'beauty' and 'test'.

Celia stood there as the being approached and tensed for an attack. Instead he reached up and touched her gently. You could have knocked her over with a feather she was totally shocked.

She was even more shocked when this large guy, who probably could have broken her in half with one try, suddenly went shy and appologetic. She caught him saying something about a test and it was his fault and then it hit her-the boost in her powers had been due to this gentle giant of a man.

She laughed out loud at how it must look to any observers. Thinking that her laughter may have hurt his feelings, Celia reached one hand out and touched his arm to get his attention.

"So that was you," She said as she smiled reassuringly at him,"I knew that couldnt have come from me. Little old mover of rocks-thats me!" She laughed again and shook her head.

"Hey, its alright. Except for a few bruises and scrapes I'm all here-no broken bones, no concussion...just gonna be sore for a couple of days is all. It just caught me off guard cause I wasnt mentally prepared for it."

She was about to ask him about the test part of his statement but she decided to let that pass. He obviously wanted to know if she was like him-thats all. As for the beauty remark she blushed a bit and decided not to say anything. She never had felt she was overly beautiful though her dad would often comment on what a pretty girl she was growing up to be. She had put it down to fatherly blinders and simply rolled her eyes and went on.

"By the way-my name is Celia," She prodded, squeezing his arm a bit to let him know it really was okay,"It would be easier to talk to you if I knew yours."

Violet

I fixed up his arm and headed outside to see what the latest crash was about. I saw the large winged being hovering over the girl. I rushed to her, she was about my age it looked like and in fine shape except for a few cuts and scrapes.

Things were happening fast. First she meets the angel man, whos name she didnt know and now here was a beautiful lady with violet skin fussing over her. She could feel that these were some of those that the feeling had lead her to though she still did not know why.

"Hello," She said feeling a bit awkward,"My name is Celia."
It was a lame beginning but she honestly couldnt think of anything else to say.

Violet

"They call me Violet." we help her stand and I lead her to my building. "I sense you are both here for a while? I have several empty rooms in my home. Sorry about the door." I apologize as I bring you in. "I've been working on making it cozy since," I bite my lip and drift off. "Are you hungry? Tired?" I run on trying to forget the past. "It's been long time since I've had guests. So please forgive my manners." I bring out a tray with several glasses and what looks like lemonade.

CAN YOU HELP ME?

I AM JUST NOW STARTING DEVELOPE THE FULL EXTENT OF MY POWER. ..........SHUNNED BY THE PEOPLE WHO CLAIMED TO LOVE ME; I AM NOW ALONE. i CAN SEE THROUGH THE EYES OF OTHERS THOUGH I AM BLIND. i ALSO CAN MAKE OTHERS TEMPORARLY BLIND AT WILL. PLEASE HELP ME TO FEEL SAFE N A WORLD OF DANGER.

Celia sat down and excepted the drink gratefully. She had swallowed a lot of dirt on the slide down the hill and now she was very thirsty.

She had been quiet all through the walk here and through Violet's talk. She slowly sipped her drink and looked around. When the woman finished talking, she cleared her throat and finally spoke.

"This may sound a bit...airheaded," She said,"But I dont really know how long I am here for. I dont know why I came...except that I felt compelled to. I dont know what I am supposed to do here," She shrugged and looked at both of them,"All I know is that, for some reason, I had to come and find others like me."

She stopped talking and looked into her drink. Not sure what else to say when suddenly a voice hit her like a sledgehammer.

Celia dropped the drink and she heard her own voice talking but it was not her saying it. "CAN YOU HELP ME," was repeated over and over again in her mind until she seemed to finally be realeased from whatever was gripping her.

Standing up, she looked at the other two people in the room finding the same look of puzzlement on thier faces that must be on her own.

Lokken came into the room, looking at the three people. All he had needed was for the healer woman to mend his arm. A golden glow went through it and it healed itself. "I feel an extroardinary power source", he said, stating the obvious. He began to track this source. A black bolt of lightning flew down and ripped a hole in the roof. Lokken let it hit him, and began to lift off of the ground. His eyes pure white, he quickly got a reading. He began to hover towards it, seeing some kind of person. His powers began to expand, so he dropped the lightning bolt and dropped to the ground. He pulled out a saw-toothed Executioner's Sword. The 4 ft blade glinted and flared up in blue fire. His cape behind him, he walked towards the source of power.
