Is it my imagination, or are there a lot more muslims in the United States since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001? I have nothing against Muslims, but I don't recall seeing a lot of them prior to 9/11. Do not read anything more into this question. It is a simple question. If there are more Muslims here, is it because of the wars in the Middle East?

George and Dick blew a bunch of things up and destroyed a bunch of cities. They had to find someplace to live.

I grew up in NY, moved to LA and lived there for 20 years. When I moved back East seven years ago I was totally stunned at the change in demographics.

mainly I noticed a massive shift in the Indian and Asian population in upstate NY and NJ suburbs. Holy cow. Can't say I noticed more Muslims, except right in NYC.

They must not be moving to the Pac NW. I haven’t seen anyone Middle Eastern, except the stereotypical 7-11 owner, since I can remember. Maybe they like the bigger cities, more falafel.

I think I see two of them following you now. BOOOO.

Oh, wait, I think they might be Hindus.

Why do I bother? I said it was just a simple question. Please try not to read more into it.

I don't know why you bother either. I think your time would be better spent by study of objective background material. Then you wouldn't have to post Faux news stuff as often as you do.

Yes, I think there are more, proportionally, Muslims in the U.S. population now than a few decades ago, just like there are more Hispanics and that there are bunches more of European origin here than there were in 1500 and more Blacks than in 1650. It's a matter of world-wide mobility and ethnic dispersal and has been going on since Adam and Eve.

Sorry if that scares the shit out of you (but, no I'm not).

But see the thing is, YOU are trying to read more into simple observations. I have no idea if their population has increased because I've seen them for many years in urban areas and have never seen them in rural areas.

Parts of Dearborn, MI have been heavily Arab since the 70s sometime.

You have probably seen them all along and didn't realize it. Hecidic Jews, Hindus and others with long black beards or head wear have been targeted in recent years because 'Rumpers didn't know the difference.

No the thing is I'm NOT trying to read something more into it. You can't get past your bias and admit that perhaps a question is just a question. You said that I probably have seen muslims all along and didn't notice. That absolutely might be the case.

Your bias showed from your first post. Are you Native American in origin? If not . . .
