Since music seems to be very much the theme at the moment let's have another topic about music!

What kind of genres does everyone like?

What's everyone's favourite songs? The top 100 list seems to have generated a lot of controversy....

Any artist you just love that you have to tell the world about?

Wierd Al - Most Awesome

Mark Lowry - Christian Version of Wierd Al

Jone Jonethis - It's a christian artist with a twist you just have to listen to see, its good

I love all music no matter what form it takes.

Too many songs to mention!!

But genre's my personal tastes are EXTREMELY eclectic.
I love 80's music, classic rock, oldies, hippie stuff, mowtown, folk, soft rock, alternative rock, modern rock, hip hop (especially girl bands,) soul, blues, classical, some country.

SOME examples include: The Moody Blues, Aerosmith, Def Leopard, Guns and Roses, Poison, Eagles, Chicago, Boston, Temptations, Shirelles, Supremes, McLaughlin, Indigo Girls, Cat Stevens, Neil Diamond, Soundgarden, Madonna, Cindi Lauper, The Jets, Mozart, Chopin, Schumann, Bach, Salt N Peppa, Boyz II Men, Depeche Mode, Jane's Addiction, Beethoven, Shakira, Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, John Lennon, U2, Marvin Gaye, The Corrs, Wilson Phillips, Shania Twain, Colllin Raye, Sheryl Crow, Restless Heart, Little Texas, Metallica, Foo Fighters, STP, Sheena Easton, Creedence Clearwater, GOD there are just way too many!!

I also enjoy going out and seeing local bands perform and I am into the open mike scene myself...

lol again i recommend The Big Wu

(i gotta buddy who knows the band and plug them whenever i can)

but seriously i think you may like them jade

Damn, Jade! Either your are an EXCELLENT typist with an EXCELLENT memory, or you have entirely too much time on your hands.
Plus, you had time to come back and EDIT! Damn!
On the other hand, Jade... If you would EVER like to go out dancing, I would be honored to trip the light fandango witcha. Or, for that matter, if you'd ever like to sit on an overstuffed and share a pair of headphones, I'd more than love that too. Good stuff. Some good people on that list.
Your eclecticsism :)->), might appreciate a listen to a gentleman by the name of Chuck Pyle. In the folk/country mode and very real. One of the true musicians left. Give me a buzz and I'll send you a 'totally authorized well not so much" compilation CD.
Have I asked you out on a listening date yet? :)

Oh, get over it.

Carini..Wondering if the 'Big Wu' might have a web site? Net-acess to their music? Just wondering...
Well...as always... wondering I mean...

Or is it the Bug Wu...

And by the by....AskForMore... I have not seen your own personal appreciations listed, even though it was YOU...
YOU... who(m) started this thread. Would like to hear.
BTW: Did I mention Chuck Pyle yet?
:)

I think everyone goes through stages, but for me it's Pantera.

I love Metal, but I also love people like U2 and what not, but all up give me Pantera anyday, they are just awesome as far as this Aussie is concerned.

Another artist that has always and will always have my attention is Meatloaf. That man is just so fuckable it isn't funny.

I could sit here all day typing out who I like but I just can't be bothered today ... sorry.

Have a good one :)

I will check out Chuck Pyle next chance I get. Does he have anything available to check out on the web?

About these Wu people that carni keeps talking about.. I too would like to know if they have samples on the web?

LMAO @ Mark :D

Well babe, you could always look at it this way ... when you fuck down Under, it would never be boring ;)

And who the hell is Chuck? Should I really be interested in this man? What type of music is it?

Yes this is 20 questions LOL.

Mark... that was WONDERFUL!!

I saved the song in a folder. Lovely, really.
Thanks! :)

Dammit Mark you had to post in my snooze time didn't you!

Ok i'm a big r'n'b/soul fan, but I like a bit of pretty much everything to add on to that. Some rock (on the softer side though, not a heavy rock fan), some hip hop, some dance...

And I also listen to a lot of Eastern music since i'm chinese, mainly chinese music but some japanese and korean as well.

And that artist that you really all should try...hmm...well
there's a new musical sound evolving in England at the moment called garage music, which is sort of like a more uptempo r'n'b style, so i'm gonna pick a few songs from that. Also the hottest artist in the UK at the moment is an r'n'b singer called Craig David, don't know if any of you american have heard of him? Try these songs:

Craig David - Fill me in and Rendezvous
Artful dodger - Rewind and Please don't turn me on
MJ Cole - Crazy love
Architects - Body Groove
