I know ... I know .... I can hear the groans from here ..... not ANOTHER Higher musical thread ..... :rolleyes:

This will need a little research for each post, but it will be interesting to see where it leads to ..... I am going to start off with arguably the best band in history (I won't get into that discussion here ...) – The Beatles ..... then I am going to name another singer or band that has a direct link to the Beatles. The next poster must find a link to another singer, songwriter or band and then post that name, and so on ..... I think it will be interesting to see where it goes .....

Okay, starting with The Beatles ....

My first post is

John Lennon (member of The Beatles)

Next post must list someone who has a direct musical link to John Lennon ..... and of course, describe the link, please ..... :)

He wrote "Hey Jude" about the young Julian. It was in fact originally entitled "Hey Jules" ....

Well, Denny Laine was one of the founder members of the Moody Blues, who recorded "Go Now" and went to No 1 in the UK in 1964 ..... he, of course, left soon afterwards and turned up several years later in McCartney's new band, Wings ....
